Q: Does it have a steam pause feature, or a power button to turn it off even if it is plugged in?

A: Hi, Not a steam pause feature, but you can turn the steam on and off with a button. And, no this particular version does not have a power button.

This does also have a steam on/off button as well, where the water stayed heated, but steam will not come out of the top if it's off...similar to a steam pause button. Overall a great steamer, my 3rd different kind and it's a keeper for sure!

A: Hi there! It's best to use distilled water. Regular tap water contains minerals that can cause buildup inside the steamer, which can reduce its performance over time. I hope that helps!

Q: Can you set this steamer to different temperatures based on fabric or is it one set temperature?

A: This steamer has 2 settings, Standard and Turbo. The Standard setting, along with the delicate fabric spacer attachment, can be used on delicate fabrics. The Turbo setting can be used for thicker materials like sweaters. You can use the steamer held away from delicate fabrics, or can press directly on less delicate fabrics. It's the best!

I happen to try to use this for the first time after buying it in September and low and behold turn it on and doesn't work at all. No motor just broken. Which kind of sucks because why did I spend $60 on something and then have it not work 6 months later is garbage. I even went through their troubleshooting and had somebody else look at it not even working.

My new favorite adult toy! I don't have a washer and dryer, thus I use a laundromat. I hate folding my clothes straight out of the dryer at the laundromat. I read about this steamer in Good Housekeeping and love how they provide additional warranty on any product they reccomend. A great price, and it does exactly what I need. You'd never know I stick my clothes in a bag out of the dryer and get around to folding them whenever I please.

I have used this steamer (GS59X) for over a year now, mostly to remove wrinkles from dress shirts. It does a very good job, especially when used with the silicon attachment that slightly stretches the fabric during steaming. My reason for rating the steamer 4 stars rather than 5 is due to wear of the silicone part of the attachment, and no option to buy a replacement part (according to their call center). Why would they not sell replacement accessories that are susceptible to wear over time? Very unfortunate, as it degrades product performance. Seems like an easy fix.

Fire safety flaw. It does not automatically shut off on its own after a certain amount of time idling. This is a major fire hazzard. I forgot to turn mine off and it almost caught fire luckily I was home and heard the crackling noises of it starting to catch fire. The smell was awful.

I purchased this steamer to replace another brand that stopped working after 8 years, so I hope this one last a few years also. I only used the steamer once & I noticed I had to go over the wrinkles a few times. I am not going to say there’s an issue since I was trying to figure out how to use the features correctly. I believe once I got the hang of it, I’ll be okay!!

I bought this almost 3 years ago and now it's just a hot decoration. The steam just barely comes out when I put it near material, but when it's sitting doing noting and the steam button is on, it works. I'm so frustrated to know I have to buy another one. I steam EVERYTHING I wear except jeans and t-shirts and can't go without one. The price isn't bad, but can't afford to be spending extra right now.

Ease use. I never knew I could be steamed. The sleek design and easy fill reservoir make using this steamer a pleasant surprise. Wrinkle free wear is now in at my house. The only thing I noticed was how easy it is to use. Hang a shirt on a hanger and hang the shirt over a door. Steam away. Be careful steaming can be additive.
Use this almost daily, cannot live without it!

My husband bought this for me about six months ago. It is one of the best presents ever, I literally cannot live without it. So so so much easier than ironing, both the ease of steaming (can do clothes on a hanger or laid out on my bed) and also the ease of steamed items looking great quickly and completely. No weird smell of fabric smoothing spray and no hassle or accidental creases of ironing. I use this almost every day for everything from jeans to blouses to more casual items like t shirts that are wrinkled or creased. Cannot recommend it highly enough!
