Core Equipment Performance 10 Person Instant Cabin Tent

Just as the packaging indicates: a 2 minute set up is pretty on point! Staking it down and adding the fly will take a bit more time, but there are no separate poles to deal with. We were able to pop it up so quickly! There are doors to get out of the tent on each side of the room, so there's no worry about bothering someone in the other room as you get out. The only critique I would give this is that there are tons of pockets, but only in one of the rooms. The other room has none, although you can use the window as a pocket if you don't zip it down all the way. You can fit two queen size air mattresses in this thing or four twin size mattresses snugly. Take down is also very simple and intuitive. The tent bag itself could have been a tinge bigger to ensure the tent gets back in without pressure on the zipper, but with another person helping, we were able to get it packed back up quite easily.

There are a tons of positives about the tent. This is our second Core tent our previous one was just to small for our growing family. Con: The biggest con with this tent is the zipper/door. To me this is a huge disappoint. The zipper sticks and you have to unzip a minimum of two different sticky zippers with the potenetial for a third as the door is an upside down T. If I would have known how awful this door would have been, I would have gotten on of the other tents and specifically made sure not to get a T styled door, especially one that sticks. For me, the zipper/door alone is enough to lose two stars.

Got to use our new 10-person Instant Performance tent this past weekend. For reference, we also have their 12-person Instant Lighted tent and the 6-person regular lighted tent. We love our larger 12-person tent but wanted something sturdier with better weather resistance features for the Seattle area. As expected, the instant setup and breakdown feature was excellent. The tent felt solid and well-built, and the extended awnings did help direct rain away from the tent body the two times it rained during the night. The only thing I would personally change would be to have the room divider screen optional and not built into the tent. That way if I want one larger room, I don't have to fold and pull the screens away. We were able to place 4 adult cots in the tent with room for either another cot or some gear. Now if they can only add a lighted version to their Instant Performance tents, that would be awesome. The integrated lighting with inside/outside switches is a great convenience and I hope it carries into this line.

Finally found a tent which will comfortably accommodate a Queen Size blow up mattress in one room with extra room for small tables, etc) and the other room lots of space for chairs, small table, and gear. Able to do one person set up and take down… but because of the many stakes, ties to trees for wind protection, many attachments to tent poles, probably 30” to 45” to get it done right. A lot of thought went into design, with a high water proof base, but not particularly sturdy——-if a single pole breaks the whole tent is affected. I used a lightweight 20’ tarp to guarantee waterproof and keep sun out in a.m. Glad I did. The tent will never, ever be as compact as when you first unpack it. Will take up nearly twice as much room when you take it down All in all, I have enjoyed this tent. The additional space makes a huge difference with heavy bugs or bad weather. Excellent zipper separation between the 2 rooms. If it lasts 3 years I would consider buying again. If it lasts 5 years would absolutely buy again. This is not a tent for hard core hunting or extreme weather. Absolutely a spacious and comfortable tent for a couple who want extra room or 2 adults and 3 kids…not a tent for one night stays… excellent for 3 or more overnights…”10 person” is, of course, silly and a product of creative marketing by staff measuring square ft. Or inches.

Love this tent, its super easy and fast to pitch, gorgeous colors, feels very luxe, tons of high quality details. I know it says 10 person but thats sleeping like sardines, we can comfortably fit 3 twin air mattresses and have room to move around and for our things. Oh and great windows...

I love the tent. Solid construction and build good .zippers and stitching around the zippers are good quality. I like there’s a door on each side of the tent. Plenty of spots for securing the tent, and for the steaks. Buy your own steaks, the steaks are kind of weak. The tent is a little heavy. You’ll feel it in your shoulder if your packet it a good distance. That’s because there is solid hardware keeping this tent, rigid and I like the posts. I believe it will be good and rain because the rain fly has a good design and it stands out a little ways from the tent.I’m going camping next month with it. If I have any issues I’ll let you know.

It's pretty big but that's what we wanted and seems pretty study, although we haven't had an opportunity to use it yet.
