I intend to grow lavender in it. It arrived already rusted, despite the description, which is ok by me, because that is the look I was going for. I noticed on of the feet at the base was distorted, as if the unit had been dropped. Maybe I got one that had been returned, or banged around in the warehouse? Now that I think about it, it WAS on sale. Anyhow, I'm going to keep it. It DOES NOT come with a tray or liner.

These planters are absolutely gorgeous! I bought two to flank garage doors after seeing Laura from Garden Answer YouTube video, and it was a great choice because they're a show-stopper.
I did go ahead and follow the directions in the video to "age" them and they turned out such a beautiful shade of rust and that makes our flowers pop in them.
