Q: How does this get assembled? What tools do you need & how long did it take?

A: You will need a Phillips head screw driver for assembly, is mounting it to the wall. If you leave the desk free standing, no tools are needed. This desk has a 5 step folding assembly. 1) Take the drawer out. 2) Turn over the desk. 3) Lift up the leg frame. 4) Hold the crossbar and pull back until the crossbar is held in place firmly under the metal stops. 5) Put the drawer in.

A: Hello LaLa. Thanks for your interest in the Coy Folding Desk. This desk features a light grey wash finish, so It will look like it does on site. Not darker grey, but there are grey tones.

The desk was not really gray and the top of the desk the wood stain had areas of black and areas where there weren’t any stain. Even though this item wasn’t expensive would not expect it to look like this. Would not recommend purchasing.

Needed a small desk for daughter's room. It is compact and small, but it does the job and has enough room to do homework on a small size laptop. It folds up like a serving tray which is convenient. It has worked out so well I just bought a second one for her college apartment. We ordered white so no issues with color looking different than online. While it might be too small for some the compactness was exactly why I bought it and like it.

I purchased this desk in white for a small area, I browsed a few other places but could not find a small desk that I liked enough to buy. I added a small white desk lamp, also from Target, for $7! This desk works perfect for the area it's in and for my needs, it is very nicely made! I like that I can fold it up and tuck it away if I need to, or move it to another area. So glad I found it, I hope you love it as much as I do!
Willing to give it a second chance by ordering a second one.

I was hoping this desk would work out. The color is off. (I ordered the gray) There is a yellowish green tone to the desk. Also, there are streaks of glue.

Desk is very small, a normal computer doesn’t have any space at all. It is heavy and when open if it closes, the entire desk can drop on your feet.

I only purchased this desk because it can fold up to get out of the way. In that regard it works well. However, it arrived with various nicks, gouges, and other damage. It also has uneven surfaces. As others have noted, the bar through the middle is exceedingly annoying. This desk is most certainly over priced and I would not purchase it again.

The color is gorgeous in person (got the grey) and it is the perfect mix of grey and neutral wood. Desk seems sturdy and you can’t beat the easy setup. So happy I finally got my hands on this desk!

My boyfriend and I work from home in a small apt. We already had two desks in our living room, but it became tough to be in the same room while on calls/meetings. There just isn't room in the bedroom for a full sized desk, so we got this one. I could not love it more! First, there is pretty much no assembly. You take it out of the box and it unfolds like a tray table. It fits on the smallest wall in our BR, between two doors. I can easily pick it up and move it, which I do every day. I keep my monitor on my large desk in the LR and use this one temporarily. It's large enough to hold my laptop and phone and a drink. I love the design of it, it's like a miniature secretary desk. The only drawback is that it's hard to sit ergonomically because of the cross legs. But since I don't use it all day, that's fine.

All I had to do was set it upright. The desk is the perfect size for a small space, or for when the space is needed on occasion for another need. It folds up easily, and yet it is a sturdy desk! It’s perfect for writing, and using a laptop computer. It also would make a cute decorative table. I am very pleased!
