Q: Is the clay gluten free?
A: Thank you for asking about Crayola Model Magic. At this time, the only Crayola manufactured products that contain wheat (flour) are Crayola Dough, Glitter Dots, and Easy Peel Crayon Pencils. All other Crayola products, including Silly Putty, do not contain wheat or other grains known to be a source of gluten. Multiple Crayola products are produced in the same manufacturing facilities and on the same machinery and therefore are not considered gluten free. While there is a slight chance of cross-contamination, the machinery used to manufacture Crayola products is cleaned between production runs in a manner that meets or exceeds all regulations. This information does not apply to licensed products, such as Crayola-brand bath, personal care, or food items, which are manufactured by licensing partners. Please check the back of the packaging for manufacturer details or contact us with any questions at 1-800-CRAYOLA.

Q: Does it dry like air dry clay
A: Glad you asked! Crayola Model Magic is an air-drying modeling compound, and remains lightweight and retains some flexibility even after drying. Air-Dry Clay gradually hardens into a durable solid over time, gaining strength. Hope this helps!

Q: Is this product similar to clay? dose it stretch out or dry out?
A: What great questions! Crayola Model Magic is a stretchable, air-drying modeling compound. When dry, it is not pliable, but does have a slight give, similar to a Styrofoam cup. Because if its texture, it is easy for young artists to use and does not require water. Once your sculpture is dry, you can add color with Crayola paints or markers. If you have any further questions on this product, please contact us at 1-800-CRAYOLA. Hope this helps!

Q: Is this non-toxic? I'm assuming yes but ?
A: Thanks for your question! All Crayola and Silly Putty products have been evaluated by an independent toxicologist and found to contain no known toxic substances in sufficient quantities to be harmful to the human body, even if ingested or inhaled. In addition, Crayola and Silly Putty art materials carry the Art and Creative Materials Institute's (ACMI) APPROVED PRODUCT (AP) seal, which indicates these products meet or exceed specific quality standards.

Q: Is this clay polymer clay? the one you can actually shape and place in oven?
A: Glad you asked, Matias! Crayola Model Magic is an air-drying compound. It should not be placed in the oven to dry. Exposure to high heat sources may cause drying out, cracking and browning of your sculpture. With the exception of our Modeling Clay, which is reusable, all of Crayola's modeling compounds are designed to dry with exposure to air. We hope this helps!
