Q: Do you put the LED light in your mouth almost like a mouthguard or do you hold it there?

A: Great question, Kim. Use the light at the end of your Crest Whitestrips treatment. Apply the strips and wear them for the time indicated on your Whitestrips packaging. After that amount of time, press and hold the two buttons on the light simultaneously to turn it on, then release. Next, place the light against the strips on your front teeth until the light automatically turns off after 5 minutes (the light will beep and turn off automatically after the 5 minutes is up). Q: Can you brush your teeth after using the strips??

A: Yes, after using Crest Whitestrips, you can brush gently. Note, though, that we don't recommend you brush immediately before applying the strips. And you should allow for some time to pass after you've brushed your teeth to apply the strips. This will help avoid gum irritation. Q: Can I use the 3D Whitestrips Sensitive without the light as a refill for this? It seems wasteful to throw the light away and buy a new one when it still works.

Q: How often can I use a whitening kit? It says on website you can use 2 kits per year, but doesn’t say how long it should be between uses, weeks, several months, etc?

A: You can choose how often you'd like to use the two kits; they can be used back to back, or several months apart, however, we don't recommend using more than two kits in a 12 month period.

I did not notice a difference. Maybe because I purchased the ones for sensitive teeth so they are not as powerful.

Please consider getting this! I wish I had a before picture of my teeth to show when I first started this process. They were stained from coffee and coke products and this is helping remove them. I started to see actual progress on day 3 and when I hit day 6 it has almost completely gotten rid of all my yellow! I was hesitant at first but I am very glad I purchased this. Much cheaper than getting it a teeth whitening treatment at the dentist. Also I did not have any reaction to it.

The included light does make it easy to apply and speed up the effectiveness, but unfortunately it wore away at my enamel and made my teeth so sensitive I ended up giving the rest of the strips to my mom. The first couple of uses did leave white splotches on my teeth, but they went away after brushing a few times. While I probably wouldn’t buy these again and will just stick with my whitening toothpaste, I can see why so many people like to use these!

So i've been noticing that my teeth have been so yellow, especially when using lipstick or lipgloss. I thought this kis was super pricey at first, but im so glad I got it from Target. I went home and followed the directions and after 35 mins, whiter teeth. I stood in the mirror for my wow moment as it erased several shades or yellow/brown within minutes. I am so excited to continue with the next 13 days. This def worked for me so far and I hope it does for you as well.

Didn’t see any results from a full 2 week use of this product. I also had comparable tooth sensitivity from this whitening product compared to other Crest whitening products. Not worth the price.

Imo it did a great job after one or two treatments needed for a quick whitening. 30 mins of wearing the strip was honestly a little gross and uncomfortable for me as saliva accumulated. I just kept my mouth shut, didn’t talk, and occupied myself for the 30 mins. 5 mins with the light in your mouth is kinda gross/weird too. Felt little sensitive after, still but definitely worth it for me. I could visible tell my teeth were whiter and will continue to use before major events.

My teeth and gum line were hurting and getting white spots on my teeth so I had to stop. It seemed like a great option as you can do it in the comfort of your own home, but just didn’t work for me so to sensitivity.

I’ve tried them for a couple of weeks and I think can see a difference but not enough to show on camera. Applying the strip on is easy but they do feel a bit weird to me. I have sensitive teeth and mouth so I might not be the best judge. I will continue to use them and hope to see a huge difference soon.

That said, out of the at-home whitening systems I’ve tried I’ve found this one to be one of the most effective. In 2 weeks, I was able to diminish about 2-3 shades worth of tea and coffee stains from my teeth! I did use a specific sensitive toothpaste while using this kit, but did not experience any uncomfortable aftermath over the course of using the strips. While the strips themselves are not the most pleasant to wear (they do tend to slide around), I’ve found them to be much more effective than the newer whitening pens out there that tend to dry out early. Having individually wrapped strips generally also feel more hygienic than the pen versions. I also think this Blue LED light is a really awesome new element that I think elevates the at home experience towards what you’d have at a dentist for several hundred dollars more! It’s a bit cumbersome to have to hold it for the 5 minutes but it’s nice that it has a built-in timer. Overall I think this kit is worth a try, especially if you have some simple stains.
