Q: di (2-ethylhexyl) is considered toxic by the CDC, i don't understand how this product is allowed to be sold...

A: DINP or Diisononyl phthalate is a common compound in rubber products to improve flexibility, and it is used in our power cord and not any food-contact surfaces. I would advise the customer that this is the case and that the food-contact surfaces are made from safe food-grade stainless steel. Definitely a sensitive subject though.
