The blender jar is a little smaller than my older one but it is perfect for making smaller amounts when it is just my husband and I. It also helps with portion control for those of us trying to shed a few pounds after the holiday!!

DO NOT buy this product. It just spins the stuff around. It takes several minutes of blending to get most of the chunks out. It will never get them all. Obviously, this product was not tested before Cuisinart started selling it. If it were tested it would only have taken one use to see this problem and correct it.

I called the company the first time I used it because it wouldn’t work at all. Customer service figured out with me on the phone by their trial and error too must be on and you place it on the base handle to left & turn blender hat to right until snapped in place. Well for six months I am still fighting with blender jar as it doesn’t usually turn on. I push it hard backwards towards my wall while slamming jar to the left several times until it turns on. Now pieces of plastic are spewing from the bottom of the blender jar. Does it blend; it takes forever after you finally get the blender to function. I was considering buying another blender jar to replace my faulty one until I read the reviews. I think my experience is worst of all. Good processor base $ it works as a good processor. DON ‘T BUY YHIS BLENDER JAR

The blender does not blend properly, you need to blend for at least 20 mins continuously before some level of smooth blending is done. I would not recommend anyone. If there is a possibility of return I would take it in a breath.

This is a handy accessory to our food processor that allows us to save space by not having a separate blender. I wish the jar was made of glass, but it is working well for us.
