This was my first curlsmith product, and is the only thing I currently use in my everyday wash routine (I'm too lazy to use more than one product!). I shampoo and condition as normal, then rake this through in the shower, scrunching slightly. Then even more lazily, I air dry. I prefer ever so slightly frizzy, more voluminous curls to super tight ringlets and this does the job perfectly. For reference, my hair is a mixture of very curly and wavy, and drops the curl pretty easily if not diffused. After years of straightening my hair everyday because I couldn't deal with huge cloud like frizz without products, this gel has been a lifesend as I can just chuck it in my hair and get on with my day! No more drying and styling for hours :) In my hair it feels weightless and not sticky at all - I basically wouldn't know it's there if not for the lovely curls it creates. The only complaint is that my curls don't last past one day - however as I don't diffuse or add supporting products that's not the gels fault, therefore it's five stars for me :)

Everything I tried either made my hair ‘crunchy’ or the curls stringy or a mass of frizz. Now I’ve found an amazing combination of Curlsmith Curl Conditioning Oil in Cream and Hydro Style Flexi Jelly works wonders. On soaking wet, clean hair I work a 50p amount through (my hair is shoulder length). Then I section it and work the Flexi Jelly from roots to ends. I use the praying hands method to work through. That’s it…. i leave it air dry which doesn’t take too long. There’s hardly any cast and my curls are thick and bouncy for a couple of days. If I need to refresh I use a small amount of the jelly watered down. My other top tip is to use silk pillowcases. Hope that helps!

I cant say enough good things about this gel! The scent is pleasant, it helps my curl clumps stay together, is moisturizing without being too heavy (even in the summer when products can be trickier), and provides great hold despite how soft my curls are after scrunching out the cast. If you really want a little more hold, you could layer a bit of strong hold gel or hairspray over the top before diffusing but my curls didnt need it.

This gel smells great and has excellent slip. It really defines the curls and provides a good hold that’s easy to scrunch out. It gives a lot of volume and definition. I do think this is perfect for someone with thin to medium hair that doesn’t want their hair weighed down. For coarse hair this may not be hydrating enough or have enough hold but it’s formulated very well

It feels clean, light and I always get compliments on my waves/curls (since I have both). Once I do the scrunch out, it will still last some days with the waves. I haven't had any issues with any product build up or it feeling sticky/producty. Definitely a must have for my hair!
