CURLSMITH Invincible Volume Hair Mousse - Ulta Beauty

This mousse is nothing like I’ve ever used. It is a great product to layer with other stylers, but also amazing on its own. The shine, curl enhancement, and volume I get from this product is exactly what I look for in a styler. This has given me some of my best wash days.

Product feels to dense for my hair needs. You don't know unless you try it, for others it might be great. I wanted volume, and I think it helped with that. Maybe it is the combo of gel & mouse, which I thought would be great, but my hair is wavy, fine, and VERY thick. You'll never know, if you don't try. I gave it 2 stars, it appears to be a very good product, no offense smell etc. Just doesn't work for my hair type.

I was surprised to actually like this product after reading all the bad reviews claiming stickiness etc. After seeing negative reviews and videos I think a lot has to do with how the product is applied and styled. I used my usual leavein conditioner and curl cream, and then section by section applied a little bit of the foam. After that I diffused and it came out great. Pros: This product has a lot of hold! More like a gel, with the amount of cast left behind. My second day hair didnt require any refresh products just a good fluff and a little finishing oil for extra shine. Cons: Needed to really get in my hair with a light oil to break the cast. But once broken, the fluff and curl looked great. I have naturally thick/full hair so I get volume by default on day 2/3. This product didnt provide any extra volume. But still a good mousse product for definition/hold. All the reviews mentioning stickiness — i get it— when the product was being diffused (at 75% dry) the roots had a bit of a tacky feeling. However once fully dry and cast broken there was no stickiness.

I have tried hundreds of products trying to find that "one" that does it all for a more simplified routine. I have 2C to 3A, fine, high density, low porosity, protein sensitive hair, and this has been fantastic! A little goes a long way though, so be careful. I put this on when my hair is wet, then put my hair turban on for about 30-60 minutes, then dry with a diffuser, and curls be poppin. Defined, with body, no frizz. I used to be a daily washer until now. Obsessed!!!!

I did like the definition it gave to my 2a waves, but I definitely would not buy this again. It clumped my waves together as my hair air dried and it was so sticky it msde it difficult to refresh my hair the next day.

My curls looked great day 1, but the product was so sticky. In fact, it was so sticky that I couldn't get a day 2 out of my hair and had to wash it the next day, when most products left me go 3 days between washes.

My hair is more curly than wavy. While I like the long hold of gels, I thought that I would try this. I was pleasantly surprised. My hair flattens out on top usually and with the mousse it stayed fluffy, even being long. I did end up putting a little bit of gel mixed with the mousse to hold it a little better. I will definitely buy it again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As always , I love curlsmith products and has been a complete transformation from frizzy hair to curls that I love. A must try and nice easy one to use with great bouncy happy curl results.

Love the curls and volume I get with this mousse BUT 2 cans now and both go watery after about 1/4 of the can. The mousse is so firm & fluffy in the beginning and then just soupy & seems very concentrated.

I was hopeful to try this product as I like most of their products (even their pump mousse is better than this one) but it left me disappointed. The first time I bought it, I thought there was something wrong with it as it did not foam up like most mousses. It does not give volume like I would like and leaves me hair frizzy. It only lasts a day (2 stars vs 1 because it looks fine the first day) and then after that, my hair looks flat and the curls lose shape. I will not be buying it again.
