Q: The description indicates that these are compostable. How long does it take for these to breakdown?
submitted by c - 2 years ago
A: Hello C. That is a great question. As these utensils are made of plant-based plastic, they take only three to six months to fully decompose. So these are very good option. -Ace

No idea how these are rated so highly. They break so easily. I have purchased another brand in the past which was great (also compostable).

We used these for a recent party with charcuterie, small sandwiches, and cake. They almost look like regular plastic, but they are plant based and claim to be compostable. My eco-friendly friend assumed they were plastic, and wouldn't decompose until I showed her the package. :)

I was so excited to see compostable tableware! It works pretty well. One fork did break, but into two pieces and it was only after trying to go through a big ice cream cake.

I bought 2 boxes of these and both had 8 forks, 8 spoons, and 0 knives. So make sure to open the package and check if you are planning to take these somewhere and need all 3 types of utensils! Otherwise they seem to be good quality.

I bought these to take on a camping trip because I wanted something more environmentally friendly that was still disposable. They were sturdy and worked really well! Such a plus that they’re compostable!

I got this for camping and didn’t think to check it. When I was about to use it, I realized it only had 1 fork! I paid the extra for compostable and i’m so dissatisfied

Seem like fine utensils but any time I pulled one out of the box it was covered in black flecks that looked like dirt?
