Cutter 11oz Roped Bucket Candle

It’s an outdoor use only citronella candle that DOES NOT repel bugs. The high reviews were all paid and false since on the candle itself it says “not intended to repel mosquitoes”. Thank goodness I also spray bug repellent anytime we are in the yard or else we would be bitten to pieces with a bad smelling candle.

WHAT THE HECK??? The “specifications” section for this product states…Treats and/or prevents mosquitos….but on the front and bottom label STATES IT DOESN’T REPEL MOSQUITOS. Very misleading.

The smell was pleasant and the longevity of it lasted quite awhile. This o w wasn’t as smoky as some of the others I’ve used in the past and that to me is a win!

The scent is pretty powerful and I know some people do not like it. It works better than using nothing at all. I still prefer to use bug spray on myself. The only issue I ran into with this candle is that the wick was buried and I had to dig it out. Overall, it works well in additions to using other repellants.

Because it was outdoors, I wanted to put it outside on our patio furniture but it looks like a child’s putty toy. I’d lean towards something more sophisticated looking - even if the outside is plastic. The smell itself is okay but not great. The candle burns well when lit.

We have a section that is not screened and you can’t really sit out there when the mosquitoes are out. This candle definitely helps and the smell doesn’t run us off. There are still a few mosquitoes, but not nearly as many as without the candle. I will definitely be buying more of these.

It’s been raining everyday here in Florida and I live by a lake so the mosquitoes are relentless. I needed something effective so we can still enjoy our evenings and dinners outside.
