Replace one with freezer

I purchased this unit because it is all fridge. This is to replace the previous unit which had a USELESS freezer which was TOO SMALL to be of any use. I liked the previous unit in the way it operated and gave me a little more space to keep things cool beyond my regular kitchen fridge.

The fridge arrived with a small dent on the rear right bottom of the fridge. When running, the thermostat appears to be defective. The temperature of the fridge varies from 42 to 38 degrees maximum no matter how the thermostat is set. That is too high for perishable food. Danby is currently working with me to have it fixed.

Seems like a good fridge, could use more slots for adjusting shelf height. Could use 2nd half shelf so if you don't want to use 1/2 shelf against compressor bump you can use both as a full shelf.

Ordered online. 1st unit had a bent frame and crushed corner from being dropped. Returned to Target, refunded and reordered. 2nd unit had dents on all edges and side panels. Returned to Target, refunded and reordered. 3rd unit was damaged on bottom edge and the door hinge was bent resulting in the door falling off. Returned and refunded. Danby appears to have a major problem with the quality control at their warehouse and/or their shippers. Danby customer service is worthless. I'm done with Danby. Other buyers beware!

The unit arrived with no visible damage to the carton or packing material, but with a major dent on a top corner, bent metal parts on the bottom and the door fell off as we removed the carton because of a bent hinge. This is the sort of low quality manufacturing we expected of Chinese goods in the 1990’s, but we do not expect it in the 2020’s. Otherwise the unit appears functional, but we have not started it yet, allowing time for the refrigerant and compressor to settle after shipping.

This is a great little fridge for a small area or a bar. Good capacity and look! The only thing is the top is not finished like the old ones were, but that's a minor issue if you are just putting something on top of or under a cupboard.
