Q: Made 2 poached eggs. Followed instructions, eggs very runny and not really cooked. No way to add any time. It just kept buzzing that it was done. Kept the lid in to keep ‘steaming.’ How to make poached and not like liquid?
A: Hello! If you have followed the instructions in our guide, please reach out to our customer service team and they will be happy to assist with more troubleshooting tips - support@bydash.com
submitted byDash Support Team - 4 years agoBrand expertA: As egg size vary, put more than instructed water at first. Remove from cooking when reach desired condition.
submitted byAngela C - 7 months agoA: add more water and continue cooking, until you find your desired measure of doneness.
submitted byDavid - 3 years agoA: Can it be that water steams at different rates depending upon the elevation, or humidity levels there? Can only imagine that is a slight difference and adding just a tad bit more water will work.
submitted bytwigboy - 2 years agoA: Altitude makes a difference. If your eggs aren't cooked enough...just add a bit more water initially. That means the water takes longer to evaporate and your eggs will cook longer. Easy peasy

Q: I bought this egg cooker within the last 6 weeks and have used it about 3 times. Already the bottom of the inside of the cooker is getting spotted and it does not wash off. Is this normal?
A: It should, Ive just been wiping mine down with either a wet cloth or a magic eraser and all the spots come off
submitted byVanessa - 6 years agoA: Hi Jill, thank you for for purchasing our Dash Egg Cooker! We hope you love it as much as we do! It is true that you may notice mineral deposits on the Heating Plate after a few uses. This may look like rust, but it is merely the residue of natural minerals present in your water. To remove, simply clean the Heating Plate with a mild solution of water and vinegar (10 parts water : 1 part vinegar) from time to time. You can also clean the heating plate using a “magic eraser” type sponge and warm water.
submitted byDash Support Team - 5 years agoBrand expertA: Still, sometimes an egg will crack and as the water is used, the egg drippings are "burned". A bit of vinegar, and/or baking soda/water scrubbing will fix it right up.

Q: How can I turn the beeper off or lower the volume. It is very loud.
A: I was going to buy this item, until I saw that the cooking completion notification chime/beeper is not adjustable. It's a horrible feature to have without allowing for adjustment, especially if you are trying to cook eggs early in the morning without waking anyone else, or you just don't like, or need, to hear any noise early in the morning.
submitted byMrsIcandi - 1 month agoA: There is no way to turn the volume down or turn off the chime for the Dash Everyday Egg Cooker at this time.

Q: At first my eggs turned out perfectlly. The last few times I have used it I have had one and sometimes two eggs ooze out yoke from the shell or crack. Can you tell me what I might be doing wrong? Thanks!
A: Possibly cold eggs (store-bought) need to be set out to warm to room temperature. Sometimes this makes a difference when boiling eggs the traditional way. Or thin egg shells.
