Q: Do one side of the rails drop down for those of us that are short, and would have a hard time reaching the baby?

submitted by Gildergirl - 7 years ago
  • A: No the sides don’t drop down, but the mattress is adjustable. It can be higher for newborns and lower as they get older. I am short as well and don’t have much of a problem getting baby out of the crib.

submitted byKaeleebee - 7 years ago
  • A: No the rails are fixed.

submitted byTracy - 7 years ago

Q: Is the mattress height adjustable and how many positions can it be adjusted to?

submitted by Marissa - 7 years ago
  • A: Yes it is, it can be lowered to two lower heights. After our baby could pull herself up around 6 mos I lowered all the way down just to be safest.

    submitted byKmsoccr11 - 7 years ago
  • A: Yes it is adjustable. I know for sure it had three heights but might have even four. We used one for the newborn stage until they could sit up, lowered it when they could sit, and lowered it all the way when they could stand. That lowest setting is what it stays on for when you convert it to a toddler bed.

Q: Does this come with the toddler rail?

  • A: No it doesn't come with a conversion kit. All you get from the crib is full size head, and foot board.

Q: What are the rails that go with this crib to convert into toddler bed?

submitted by Devin McLeod - 8 years ago
  • A: You need to get a full size bed frame to attach to the crib, all you can use from the crib are the the head and foot board,

Q: Just assembled this crib. I got a standard sizes matress, specifically the Sealy Healthy Dream Organic Cotton Cool. However, the matress won't fit in the crib. Is there a chance I got a faulty crib?

submitted by Heather - 8 years ago
  • A: I purchased this crib to have in my home for my grandchild. When my daughter-in-law was shopping for nursery furniture, she was told by her pediatrician that the mattress should fit very snugly for safety reasons. You should have to push hard to fit. Mine was VERY tight.

submitted byMarcia - 8 years ago
  • A: I purchased a basic size mattress and it fit perfectly. My mattress is 51 1/2 Lx 28 W. hope this helps.

Arrived in good shape. Packaging was excellent. Two people putting the crib together made the project much easier The crib is solid when finished . The stain /finish is delicate and we put a few surface scratches. In two areas. Not too noticeable Overall very pleased with my purchase.

Came with instructions and was fairly easy to assemble. I did take 2 stars off as it came with some imperfections, it looks like there are some scratches / dings, upon taking this out of the box.

Not a conversion crib

Nwi - 7 months ago, Verified purchaser
Be aware, this crib does NOT come with any of the conversion kits. It is literally the crib, and that is it. It is NOT a toddler bed, or a full size. You must buy those kits as additions. Looks super nice as a crib though. We got the cherry wood.

Only use as a crib

As a crib - 5 stars. But do not buy this thinking you’ll convert it. The full frame doesn’t have any middle supports and you will need a custom box spring or bunnies board because it is an inch too narrow for standard full beds. I had custom slats created that were 52 3/4”. Absolute nightmare. I should have left this as a crib and then just bought a new bed.

No conversion kit to change to toddler bed

Amy - 2 years ago
Looks great! Hard to out together and cannot find the conversion kit for it anywhere. The conversion kit that it suggests is for the mini crib and doesn’t fit so if that’s the purpose you are buying it to transfer like it advertises, don’t waste the money.

Great product, awful instructions

4 out of 5 stars

Linda - 3 years ago, Verified purchaser
I adore this crib, it is so cute and feels extremely sturdy. My main complaint is that it was very frustrating to put together. The instructions were a mess, with barely helpful pictures and no written descriptions. We also had a malfunction with one of the knuts we were supposed to screw into, and it ended up completely shredded by the time we realized what was happening. Thankfully that was the only real issue, and it's in a part of the crib that isn't going to make it insecure. I was able to put in a request for the part, which'll hopefully be arriving soon. Baby isn't here for another four months so we aren't in a hurry, but I can definitely see it being frustrating if we'd waited until closer to the due date to put it together. Other than that though, this crib is exactly what I was hoping for and I can't wait until baby gets to start using it!

Frustrating Assembly

Mary - 3 years ago, Verified purchaser
Very pretty design but difficult to assemble. Some of the 3” screws have to be screwed in at a 45 degree angle which is nearly impossible even with assistance in holding the pieces up and together at just the right angle. Frustrating but pretty once it’s all put together.

I love the color and the style. Putting it together wasn't the best, because one hole was not drilled exactly where it needed to be. During assembly the crib got several scratches and small dents.

Beautiful, but a nightmare!

3 out of 5 stars
Rweiss - 3 years ago
First off, this crib (once put together) is everything I wanted it to be and very pretty, but what a nightmare it was to put it together! The first problem was, the instructions had every part including the screws labeled with letters, BUT not every piece itself was labeled with the corresponding letter. For the railing, legs, sides, etc.. that wasn't a big deal as its pretty self explanatory and the illustrations do help. However the screws came in 3 different sizes all within about a 1/4 inch in length difference. The instructions had each size "lettered" (K, Z, S, etc...) BUT THE SCREWS WERE NOT LABELED so when they said "use screw K" it was a guess game as to which size there were referring to. The biggest issue and design flaw were the Barrel Nuts. These thread inserts were loose in the hole so they didn't stay in place and were not the correct depth in comparison to the hole. So, if you pushed them in too far you wouldn't catch the threads and vice versa. And because they were loose, they would spin in the hole and it was difficult to line them up. It would have been extremely helpful had these came already inserted in place and lined up they way they needed to be for assembly. Then, some holes were not quite lined up with the holes on the connecting parts. So, trying to get the barrel nuts lined up, guessing on what length screw, and fighting with the ill-alignment of the holes, it was dang near impossible getting some parts connected. Needless to say though, it's not going to fall apart as we had to forcefully put some parts together striping the screw heads. It took us about 3.5 hours to put this crib together. The finished product is pretty, but not sure it was worth the 3.5 hour struggle of putting it together. Plus, there were a few scratches and small dents in the wood as we unpacked it from the box. Nothing super noticeable, but just adds to the frustration.

Parts were damaged on arrival. Going to have to wait weeks for replacement. Quality control is really bad. Entire railing was split and unusable. The bolts they include don’t fit properly and I have no idea why these little locking pieces don’t sit correctly. Really regret buying this crib. I’m glad others have had success but this was bo question the worst buys out of all the baby stuff we bought.
