Q: How thick are the shelf dividers? What would be the average height of 7 spaces and of 8 spaces?

A: Shelves are 5/8" thick. With 8 rows as shown the height between shelves is slightly taller than the height of a CD. We haven't calculated whta the average height would be using only 7 shelves, but the shelves can be set at vertical intervals of 1.25". Please email info@prepacmfg.com if you have further questions.

Low Quality
Very low quality and not worth your time. After completing the build I did not feel safe about putting my games and movies on the shelving. -Screws and dowels barely fit into the holes, will take a lot of effort to attach. -Backing needs to be nailed in rather than slotted in. -Other shelving I have built from a certain Swedish company is better quality and at a better price.

The rack came in with a good weight to it But assembly is rather difficult. The back boards did not line up very well and the nails went thru the edges of the long board destroying them. Do yourself a favor and seek some other brand of DVD rack.
