I've been using the Dove sensitive skin bar for years and love it. Just recently, I opened a bar and noticed that it had a smell that I just couldn't tolerate. I had to stop using it. I will be returning all of the bars I bought to the store and I'll buy something else.

I’m not sure what happened to this soap, but it smells awful now. I just opened a new package of it and had to immediately check to see if it somehow was expired or if I bought the wrong stuff. Smells musty, almost like a crayon or something. Will not be repurchasing.

Did the formula just change by any chance? I just opened a new package of Dove Sensistive, which smells awful like old oil (close to the old tallow soaps smell), have a terrible allergic reaction (bad asthma and gunky eyes instantly, sneezing and runny nose, itchy and tingling face with hives, itchy body). I have bought this for years because it was the ONLY ONE THAT DIDN't give me an allergic reaction. I recently had this experience with Lubriderm lotion as well (that I used for 30 years, but their recent formula caused this same reaction.). This is terrible and I suspect cutting corners for a cheaper make, while the prices are much higher. I now have to go on a hunt for new soap. :(

I have used Dove Sensitive Skin for years and years but no more! Just bought an 8-pack and when I removed the plastic wrapping from the bars the scent was overwhelming and horrible!! Dove has definitely changed something as it never had a chemical smell. I'm returning to the store and Dove just lost a longtime customer. Please stop telling us that nothing has changed when we can clearly tell it has.

I've used this bar soap for years and love it. It's very gentle and doesn't dry out my skin. I use it on my body in the shower, and about a year ago started using it on my face. It cleans effectively without leaving my face feeling tight, and my skin has been clear. The bar lasts a while as long as you keep it somewhere it can dry out between uses. It will disintegrate quickly in a soap dish without good drainage. My favorite features are that it's cruelty free, gentle, and fragrance free.

We have been using dove for sensitive skin, fragrance free for years. Something has drastically changed. My skin has been dry and is itchy. Thought it was just dry weather I just showered and my face is beet red and burning. Used a new bar. Will never buy again!! My husband is at pharmacy and I was told to use Benadryl to try to calm my skin.

Been using Sensitive Skin Beauty Bar for more than 15 years- was the best soap for allergies, asthma etc. Purchased in December (16pack)- very fragrant-thought maybe it was just that batch-gave it away. Purchased again last week(16pack)- fragrance even stronger than last time. Please bring back the "old" soap.

My family and I use to buy this particular brand for years since we all have sensitive skin. We switched to a more natural soap about a year ago but it got expensive so I switched back to this. They definitely changed the formula. It smells soo bad like a strong chemical smell. At first I thought it was the packaging so I let it air out for a couple days but even after using the first bar it still smelled bad, caused really dry skin and now I’ve been having this burning sensation on my arms since using this. I haven’t changed anything else different so it must be from whatever new formula they’ve switched to. I do not recommend the new dove sensitive bars of soap! Returning!

Used to love this! Swear by it! It was the only thing I could use for my sensitive skin. Then the soap started changing and becoming smaller and smaller. So much smaller you can hear it in the box. I’m purchasing more packages for less people and the price has steadily went up.

I don’t know what changed but I bought a 14 pack and you open the package and you can smell a horrible chemical smell. I thought I got a bad batch so I went and bought another package and the same thing. This is the only soap I can use without breaking out but now I can’t even stand the smell. I tried using it and I feel like my entire body smells horrible. And now I have 20 bars of soap that I don’t want to use!
