A: Yes, these just add an extra scent to your laundry. They don't have any soap in them. It's kind of like asking if you still need to shower if you're using perfume ;)

I’ve been a laundry bead user for a while but I tend to stick to the “clean” smells. Usually vanilla is too warm and too sweet and lavender can have a weird lingering smell in laundry scents so I avoid them. That’s why I went with the trial size on this fragrance. I’m pleasantly surprised! I like it more for bed linens than clothing but that’s just me.

It may help to know that the amount of beads used per load can be adjusted to meet your desired level of scent. The less you use, the less scent. Larger loads, because of the amount of clothes, need more Beads than smaller ones. It may also help to know that super high temps and/or super long dry times in tumble dryers may zap some of the perfume, so try using lower heat and shorter dry times if possible. This is my signature scent. Lavender and vanilla has been my favorite scent for years and now, I'm able to make my laundry smell like it, too! Living a life with 3 senior dogs, 2 of which are hospice, my linens get SMELLY, in a hurry, especially our bedding. With washing my bedding 3x/week, the value for the money is incredible. I even use more than a caps worth! I use it with the Softener and sheets.
