A: Yes, these just add an extra scent to your laundry. They don't have any soap in them. It's kind of like asking if you still need to shower if you're using perfume ;)

This is my signature scent. Lavender and vanilla has been my favorite scent for years and now, I'm able to make my laundry smell like it, too! Living a life with 3 senior dogs, 2 of which are hospice, my linens get SMELLY, in a hurry, especially our bedding. With washing my bedding 3x/week, the value for the money is incredible. I even use more than a caps worth! I use it with the Softener and sheets.

The smell is luxurious. I’ve been using these scent beads for ever. Be careful though the bead didn’t dissolve all the way in the washer and melted to my comforter in the dryer and ruined the whole thing.

Rewashing the affected items should dissolve the remaining beads, and there are some things that you can do to help prevent this from happening in the future; first, be sure to add the beads to your washing machines drum before adding your garments or water and before starting the washer. Adding the scent beads after the cycle has begun won’t allow enough time for them to dissolve in the water. Additionally, make sure not to overload your washer, even if it’s a super capacity machine, as overloading may prevent the beads from dissolving completely and may keep your laundry from getting clean.
