Q: Is this product certified in any way to be cruelty free? Leaping bunny? Peta? I only want to purchase cruelty, free, certified products ! (If allowed to be tested by other countries, or 3rd party it is NOT cruelty free !! )
A: Although we could state "Not tested on animals" on many of our products, we don't make this claim because we believe it's misleading. There is currently no set standard for when a company can claim that their products have not been tested on animals. We do not test our products on animals anywhere in the world unless required by law and we are working hard to make animal testing of all consumer products obsolete.

Q: My Downy is lumpy. I read I can add white vinegar in order to dilute it. If I do that, will it still be safe to use on my clothes?
A: Sorry to hear that this is going on. No need for that. Simply mix a capful of product with 1/2 cup warm water until blended. Please call us at (800) 688-7638 for further assistance with this.

Q: Is it OK to wash compression stockings with this product ?
A: We wouldn't expect you to have any issues. Fabric conditioner should just not be used on children's sleepwear or garments labeled as flame resistant as it may reduce flame resistance, or on garments made with fluffier fabrics (such as fleece, velour, chenille, and terry cloth).
