To wash hair work one pump of Organic Sugar Soap into wet hair until it lathers, then rub and rinse. Repeat for thicker or longer hair. I love this soap for non toxic purposes. My complaint is it leaves a film in my sinks and tub. You will have to maintenance with daily scrubbing. I now have two sinks not draining well and suspect my pipes are clogged with this buildup. I’ve tried multiple ways to unclog without success. These sinks are in powder rooms where hair should not be the source. Other reviews have noted this as well.

Love, love, LOVE this soap! I have ultra-sensitive skin and this is, without a doubt, the best soap I have ever used. I use it all over my body and even use it as shampoo. I'm so happy I purchased this and all the other Dr. Bronner's soaps!

I use for everything, except laundry. This helped me in a transition to no-shampoo (I only wash my hair with hot water now, due to the Indian herb they use.) I now use this for dish and hand washes. No irritation or no dryness.

Vinegar can’t even remove the soap residue this product leaves on the hair. I got an allergic reaction to this product especially the peppermint one.

This soap does clean, and I like that it is unscented, but it leaves a film on everthing. The residue doesn't rinse off. It's also somewhat runny so it shoots out of the dispenser - be gentle when you push.

This hand soap is amazing for the whole family, even my toddler. No irritation, gets all dirt and grease out. Can be used over and over without drying hands. No greasy residue. Price is way too high though - it is a real budget. Wish the brand would look at optimizing the price.

This soap takes a lot to get sudsy and has a weird smell to it. I prefer the Castile soap even with it having to be diluted, it soaps up better than the sugar soap.

Best shampoo and body wash I have ever used. It’s very gentle, perfect for baby skin or sensitive adult skin. I break out in rashes easily from skincare products and have had zero issues with this soap. In fact, my skin has never felt better.

If you have sensitive skin but need to realllly wash your hands, this sugar soap is the best. It always gets deep dirt from gardening and my makeup off my hands, but never flares my dishydrotic eczema.
