Q: Does this product contain 1,4 dioxane- a known carcinogen? Are there any other carcinogens in this product? Which ingredients may cause harm to humans, waterways, marine life?

A: Carcinogen is not intentionally added ingredient in any of P&G’s products. Because arsenic is in the naturally occurring in the environment, arsenic is found in trace amounts widely across many products such as food and cleaning products. The results shared by CR are very low, safe levels, well below any established safety limits for a cleaning product.

I have extremely sensitive skin, but obviously want my clothes to smell good. I can not do heavy scents, not with soap, lotion, candles, nothing can be strong in scent. This detergent right here is heavenly, it is more floral in my opinion than smelling like a fresh baby, if that makes sense. I have used this detergent for over 2 years, and I will continue. I can use this on my clothes, linens, everything! No softener needed! It cleans stains efficiently and the scent lasts without being overbearing, and it is extremely gentle on higher quality garments. I know it is marketed for baby, but as a grown woman, this is all I use!

Our baby with sensitive skin is now 24 years old, and Dreft has always been her detergent. We sewed her wedding dress from washable fabric, so when she handed me the dress after the wedding with makeup and mud stains, I told her Dreft could clean the dress, and it did!

Gets all the stains out. I was using all free and clear but it wouldn’t take out the stains. I would have to soak in oxi clean for hours before washing and even then sometimes I would have to repeat the process a few times. My cousin told me to try this and it has been a game changer. No more soaking clothes before washing. It has worked wonders and I’ll continue to use it.
