Q: This says multiple times it’s a 27 ounce jug. Is that correct? Because everywhere else I see it it’s only 15 ounces.
submitted by Dot - 25 days ago
A: Yes, the milk jug has a maximum capacity of 27 ounces. However, the highest level to which you can pour the milk is indicated by the 15.2 Oz mark on the jug.

This thing is amazing. I am a hard-core espresso drinker and always with steamed milk. This milk frother has rocked my world because it’s much simpler than steaming with a traditional steam wand on an espresso machine.

A lot to love/appreciate about this product and my only complaint about it is the price. It is the first machine I have used that can come anywhere even close to replicating a steam wand on an espresso machine (even if it does not serve as a real alternative). Even better, it does this automatically with zero skill required, and it does it consistently each and every time. It is unlike any other dedicated-milk prep machine I have used - almost all of them create an insane amount of foam and zero microfoam (Nanofoamer pro from Subminimal being an exception). The DREO produces real microfoam, almost effortlessly. It is a beautifully engineered piece of tech. I use it to make 3 drinks back to back, each running for 3:30 which is how it is pre-programmed. The propeller attachment kicks in in the last minute. It has pulled this off perfectly each time. Having owned it for a couple of months now and have used it over 50 times… Here are some of my favorite tips/tricks: - I can time it such that the milk is ready just as my espresso shot is ready - I start pulling the shot when the Dreo's countdown clock hits 0:40. - I can add sweetener along with the milk and it comes out perfectly blended. I used to worry about doing this via my steam wand due to concern about getting something stuck on steamer tip. Not a concern with this machine. - Volume (using Vit D milk): Minimum line for latte art is approximately 225ml milk. Any less and I get thicker foam even when not using hot cappuccino mode. I don't like to go above this either to ensure I am not washing down the espresso too much. - I use it without the top cover and it makes no difference at the above volume of milk. I prefer it this way due to the below mentioned difficulty in cleaning the cover. - I love how the bottom does not get milk stuck to it - this is simply revolutionary in how the heating element works without scorching it at the bottom. Nevertheless, I like to quickly rinse it after each use - not washing it, just a quick rinse to get the bottom clear before making the next drink, Other than price, couple of other concerns: - After using it a dozen times or so, upon closer inspection, I noticed the mesh/net material at the bottom of the propeller attachment had some gunk stuck on it that was not easily visible and not easily reached to properly scrub it clean. Ultimately, I was able to get it clean via an espresso machine group head brush, steam via the steam wand, and then finally an air compressor to blow it out. Since then I make extra sure that nothing is stuck to it prior to putting it away. - The microfoam is nice, but it is not perfectly silky for intricate latte art - there's a bit too much foam for that. To draw a heart or a triple heart, it is just fine. But to do an intricate rosetta you have to jump through some hoops. I was not able to get the crisp lines due to the foam being thicker than ideal whether I used hot latte or hot flat white. I was able to get close to a perfect rosetta by using 1% milk and pouring it into another pitcher after the machine was done. No way a complaint but I see social media crowded with different baristas doing endorsements of this product and demonstrating perfect latte art. I was in no way able to replicate that easily, nor am I a professional barista for that matter. - The top cover is not easy to clean due to its construction. Steam/liquid seems to get inside the silicone material but not easy to get out.

I am impressed with this frother because the soymilk hot milk foam stayed frothy until the last sip. It's truly thick and foamy. There are many frothers out in the market but most couldn't handle soymilk, oatmilk, almond milk...etc. to create high density foam. This one can! The machine doesn't take up a lot of counter space, quiet when in use and cleanup is easy and quick.

Great foam for espresso drinks. I felt silly buying, since I already had a similar instant pot one, but that made the foam too stiff. This produces a silkier texture.

Pros: 🌡️ Hot and Cold Foam Options ☁️ Ultra-Fine Microfoam for Beautiful Latte Art 🥛 Works with Dairy and Plant-Based Milks 🍫 Over 30 Drink Options! 🧽 Dishwasher Safe – Easy Cleanup! Cons: 📏 Larger size takes up a bit more counter space I couldn't be happier with my Dreo BaristaMaker Milk Frother! This all-in-one frother delivers café-quality foam for everything from lattes to cold brews with just the touch of a button. The microfoam it creates is so smooth and velvety, perfect for creating those Instagram-worthy latte art designs. 🌈✨ I've tried both almond and dairy milk, and both came out perfectly frothed. I also love how easy it is to clean since it's dishwasher safe – saves me so much time! Highly recommend this for any coffee enthusiast! ☕💖

Absolutely in love with my Dreo milk frother! I've tried several settings with different milks and the results are delicious. Some non dairy milks will naturally not work as well but even so, the results are really good! I personally use oat milk and it turns out amazing each time....super easy to use as well. The touch screen makes it fool-proof. Each drink tastes like it could have come from a fancy bistro...worth every penny, especially if you're trying to replace your starbucks drinks. LOVE LOVE LOVE!

I saw someone using the BaristaMaker in a video on social media and it intrigued me. I've purchased several types of frothers in the past and every one made coffee foam with big bubbles that deflated quickly and turned back into regular milk. I had kind of given up hope that I would be able to find an at-home frother that would give me the same milk experience as being at a coffee shop. With that being said, I could not be more pleased with this purchase. I first tried the frother with the thick cold foam setting on and I loved the results. I was able to make two iced lattes with the amount of milk at the "minimum" setting. I've been testing adding other ingredients such as a splash of maple syrup or some cinnamon and everything has blended well with this product. Today for the first time I used the hot latte feature and was prepared to be disappointed. The cold foam was great but i've never had a good experience with hot latte milk. After using this feature, not only was I able to make the PERFECT latte at home, but the milk actually STAYED frothed in my coffee. I let it sit for a good 10 minutes or so in my coffee cup just to see and the milk was still frothed! I was truly shocked! I can't wait to try the cappuccino setting as lattes can be a bit too much milk for me at times but WOW. This frother is truly a game changer for me. One small recommendation for anyone who loves a little convenience… if you purchase frozen coffee pods through Cometeer, you can defrost one of the pucks in the microwave for a minute and use that as your espresso and paired with the milk frothed through the BaristaMaker it seriously is the PERFECT latte. Could not be happier with this purchase.

I got this for its large capacity, but it turns out it beats my Nespresso frother in other respects: the foam made in "thick foam" mode is thicker; it it better at foaming nut milks; and it is easier to clean. (Nespresso still gets used for single cups that need to be made quickly -- it has a shorter cycle). But it didn't work well at first because the two frothing tips had manufacturing defects -- small bits of plastic sticking out inside the shaft prevented the tips from spinning fast. I discovered this through troubleshooting with a customer service rep, who was quick to respond and very helpful. So: if your new Dreo is not working well, call customer service. It might be from the same batch as mine, and the problem will go away when they send you new tips

It doesn't make the foam as disclaimed. I am extremely disappointed. Not worth the money. I wish I could send it back.
