Q: It's obvious this doesn't come with controllers, but it should say it somewhere and have a picture of the charger alone. You know people are going to ask.

A: A very valid point, they should remove “PS5” from the name too so people don’t ask if it includes a console too

Q: Would this charging dock work for the Playstation 4 controllers by chance? Or the PS4 Charging dock work for the new PS5 controllers?

A: It is USB-C compatible, ps4 controllers have micro usb, so the charger will only work with the ps5 controllers.
submitted byNate - 4 years agoA: The connectors/contacts on the 'bottom' of the controller are unique to the Dualsense controllers. So, No, they will not work or match up with Playstation 4 controllers or vice versa.

Q: What is the total height when controllers are sitting in the dock? I'm trying to see if this fits the space I intend to put them in which is about 6.5 inches vertically. Thank you!

It works great but if you have a protection cover on the controller it won’t fit. You will have to remove in order to charge it.

Works great and charges fast. My only complaint is that it is sometimes tricky to get the controllers to sit in the right spot to charge, and it is very easy to bump them out of place so that they are not charging.

bought this item on Target.com and they sent me a knockoff "YOUSE" USB-C charger. they then refused to accept the return in store because it wasn't the same item. Buy on Target.com at your own risk. shame it looks like they are either repackaging items or allowing third party resellers on their site.

It charges your controllers and looks great next to your PS5 Unit. In fact, its shaped like a tiny PS5. The only annoying part is keeping the controllers seated correctly. The slightest bump will knock them right off the charger, which is super annoying. If it is not seated JUST right, it will not charge. When you have both controllers on there, you will always bump one slightly and it will fall off the charger. Heck, if you walk past it and a slight breeze come by, the controllers will fall off. The controllers balance on it about as well as you can balance a baseball bat on your head. I am not returning it or anything. If I had to do it over, I would get a 3rd party unit that keeps the controllers in place a bit better.
