Not gonna lie, I fell so in love with these that I’ve bought almost all (just missing blackberry sorbet and vanilla toffee, but my stores are always sold out). They’re not long lasting, but they feel incredibly hydrating on the lips. I really needed that after winter. Love the berry smells better than the coffee. Favorites so far were the fruity ones like the cherry, strawberry, and yummy gummy. Sheer colors that were perfect for me. You’ll either like them or not.

This is a good product. I like the color of the wild cherry and it looks really nice on. BUT this is not a dupe of the Summer Friday butter balm. The elf one is a thinner consistency and doesn’t last as long.

Okay, hear me out. It is a good dupe. It is. However, I just think ColourPop exceeded my expectations in every way possible. I tried the blackberry sorbet and the java chip, and for me, the java was just… I like the scent. I know it’s very controversial and some people don’t like scented products, but when it comes to lip stuff, I think it is, personally, a welcome experience. I thought the coffee scent was pretty good. However, the dark brown shade in ColourPop (chocolate milkshake) has more of a warm hint to the darkness that I really appreciate and makes wearing the shade more appealing to me, whereas I feel like e.l.f.‘s pulls a bit gray, almost, and it’s a less seamless blend into the lips without having to put on other products, which isn’t the point of this. This is supposed to be a balm you can wear on its own. The blackberry sorbet color is also fairly fine, but I just think it matches ColourPop’s wild berry flavor pretty similarly, but I just like the feel of ColourPop’s a bit better. I feel like ColourPop wears over time a bit better over the e.l.f. one. It wears fairly well! I don’t want to get that wrong, but just where ColourPop’s credit is due, it’s doing a great job, and I think that warrants the dollar more price tag.

Smells soo good!! Like one of those fruit filled or peelable gummies. The applicator is squishy. It’s very glossy but not super moisturizing imo, doesn’t remove any dead skin like rhode. It sits on the lips lip an oil instead of seeping in to hydrate. I bought yummy gummy and cherry. Affordable option with nice color range!
