Scanner not clear. Text very light. No easy accessible scanner program for Wireless functions.

It is nice to have the ability to copy, print, and scan all in one device. Not 5 stars because the printer is noisy, and the copy and scan functions are slow. One week in and no real complaints.

Meets all of my expectations.

I bought this printer a month or so ago and had it installed, I thought but two days later it kept giving me the same three errors from the start; no product registration, printer status not acquired, and print jobs pending. It was registered and I had confirmation, I had cleared print jobs each time when it would not print. I know I am getting older and have some health issues that could cause the frustration over this device, but I have owned a lot of Epson printers (more so than the HP or Brother Printers I used to purchase) over the years, but never one more frustrating than this one. I just wanted a simple monochrome printer so I would not have to keep buying colored cartridges to print in black.

03/16/2022 I followed start here document #1 unpack #2 fill in tank & charge the ink - but got stuck in #2 item 10 selected language and pressed ok - kept getting error message “E-01 Printer error. Contact Epson Support. Non-printing features are available. 000041”. I may return if I can’t get this resolved. Did I receive a defective product?

Excellent printer. Quality of printed page is super! Works off network very smoothly. Even mobile printing works simply! Filling and viewing tank is easy. I would definitely recommend this monochrome to everyone!

bought the Epson eco-tank et-m2170 printer last month. works great. clarity of the print is great.

First, I’m going to say you must read the instructions. If you read the instructions this is very simple to get up and going. Depending on what features you use with this machine, it can take under 20 minute start to finish to set up. Having said that let’s talk about the features. You can tell as soon as you take it out of the box it’s high quality. It’s sleek and visually appealing. It is very compact for having so many functions. The display screen is very easy to read and navigate. I like the ease of putting the ink in the printer, super simple. The window that shows the ink levels is a great feature, as well. As far as setting up software, nothing overly complicated. I did the wireless option and had no issues. I have already printed from my phone, used the scanner, and made copies. All of which were easy to do and yield crisp, clear quick results. The machine is isn’t overly noisy for all of the stuff it can do. The voice activated feature is unbelievable but a fantastic feature. I have put this in my home office and it has been a huge improvement. I expected this unit to be heavy but it's really not. Very manageable and fits well on a small table by my desk. Instructions are very clear and made set up a breeze. I thought I might have to put this unit together or at least attach a few things here and there. Nope, it's boxed and ready to go. The printer connects to your WiFi so you can print pictures and/or documents right from your phone, tablet, and laptop. You don't even have to be in the same room as the printer to print, which is GREAT! The flatbed scanner is great. Nothing spectacular, just your basic flatbed scanner. This is a "cartridge free" printer. Refilling the ink is super easy! You just pour the bottle of ink into the inkwell. The great feature about this is you can see how much ink you have in the inkwell. No reason to EVER run out of ink during a big project. Also, compared to the ink cartridges I've purchased in the past, the bottles of ink are very affordable in comparison. SPEED - It prints much faster than I expected! It prints up to 20 pages within a minute. Also, I've noticed it holds most of a ream of paper. It seems to hold 250 pages in the paper tray. Quality of the print is great. It's dry and does not smudge once printed. This printer is very nice,I like that it is light weight.The printer is easy to use and comes with easy to read instructions.The ink is pretty easy to install,you have to charge it but it doesn't take long.The printer prints pages out fast and no running ink.The quality of the printed page is great and nice detail.I like that it has a easy open drawer to add printer paper,the drawer holds a good amount of printer paper so you wont have to keep refilling the paper or worry about it running out for a long time. The EcoTank ET-M2170 Wireless Monochrome All-in-One Supertank Printer is an absolutely fantastic printer that has really made my life so much easier. From initial set up to daily printing, my experience has been so positive and this really is the best printer that I have ever owned. The set up is extremely easy, I downloaded the drivers from Epsom, connected my printer to the network, added the ink and paper all within 10 minutes. Yes really after 10 minutes out of the box, my new printer was up and running. Included with the printer was my first bottle of ink, there was no mess involved (which I was worried about before) and the great thing is it last a lot longer than regular cartridges. I have been using the printer for two weeks, I have not experienced any paper jams or any printing issues whatsoever. I am able to print from any PC in my house, my I pad or my android phone with ease, no connection issues at all. I print quite a lot at home and the ink level has hardly gone down at all, which is great economical feature. The scanner is great, it provides great quality images of anything that i need, with speed and accuracy. Overall this really is a great quality, easy to use printer that I recommend to all.

At first I thought. I was like Omg this is kinda big for me but u instantly I truly feel in love with it. I didn't use the set up dis since I have wifi and everything was so easy to install through the wifi. The set up was quick, update was about 10 mins an loading the ink was easy as well so my first thought of intimidation of this baby went away quick lol. After figuring out how to load the paper I was good to go. Overall I couldn't have asked for a better printer. When asked by friends & family to use my printer for their personal prints they are definitely amazed at the speed an quialty of this printer as I smile. This is definitely me love right now

This is the easiest printer that I have ever worked with. The screen walks you through the set up step by step. There is also a connect wizard included in the software that helps with any connections issues that you might have. This machine is so easy that my husband/coworker can print, copy and scan by himself. The ink tank is also a great improvement. You just open the door, push the ink bottle on the nozzle and let it fill. No chance for mistakes or product damage ! The only reason I gave it four stars is that it only prints in black. This makes it a bit less desirable for an all around printer. Still a perfect fit for our business. One more plus, it is compact and so easy to fit anywhere. I would definitely recommend this product. I received this product to test and review. My review is honest and unbiased.

The Epson EcoTak M-2710 Monochrome All-in-One Supertank Printer is like no other printer that I have seen out there that fits my needs. I am a big user of HP LaserJet printers the Black and White ones as I am not one who really needs color. Who wants to purchase an InkJet printer when mainly most people are just printing off Receipts, Invoices, Order Confirmations, Coupons, Emails. Homework Assignments, Coloring Pages for kids to color on, and so on. By having a color printer or a printer that has color cartridges or color toner the ink or power expires and dries out if not always used and then you can not use the printer if it is out of a certain color or colors. I have had this issue for years. That is why I stay with my HP LaserJet 1300 Black and White Printer as it serves my needs perfectly. When I saw and heard about the Epson line of EcoTank Supertank Printers I was thrilled to the fact that finally technology with printers is finally going in the right direction just only thing is now you can refill your ink but still are stuck with having to have color ink being used in the printer. I liked the whole concept but loved sticking with my HP LaserJet 1300 Black and White Printer because no color is in play and I like the whole fast and quick drying prints that come out. When I found out that Epson came out with a EcoTank M-2170 Monochrome All-in-One Supertank Printer that was just Black only and not color I was super excited and then I find out that it has the print qualities performing like a Laser Printer can I just say wow oh wow. So I was thrilled when Epson reached out to me to be a part of this beta testing and review and I can happily say that I am very satisfied with the features of this Printer and how it only does Black and White prints. I would love to see more features added to their line of products for EcoTank where it includes ADF reader for scanner and options for extra add-on's. I actually am really highly thinking of tossing out my 16 year old HP LaserJet that has been my day to day daily driver and has suit me very well. I will have to say this Epson printer is my new favorite. I currently own a Brother laser printer and while it's speedy, it doesn't have all the features this Epson printer does! For one, it lacks the wireless printing capabilities. It also doesn't have a scanner! One thing I had always wanted is to be able to print documents straight from my phone. And now I can! AND I don't even have to be nearby to do so. I was worried I wouldn't be able to utilize it with my iPhone without AirPrint but I was wrong. Setting up was easier than expected! I popped in the CD, and followed all the instructions which were super easy. I love that it gives the option to print out a test page. I have a Windows desktop and I also have a MacBook Air. I love that the instructions also made a note on how to download the software for those that lack CD drives. I will have to say it took less than 10 mins to install in both computers to printing out the test page. It was just that quick! The quality of the prints and scans are clear and easy to read. The ink is a deep color and it dries very quickly. I haven't noticed any smudging or fuzziness. I will happily choose to use this Epson printer over my Brother printer over and over. One thing I do like but others may not is that the printer makes a little bit of a loud sound while it's printing. I can hear it from across the room. But I love it! It assures me that my documents have printed when I want them to. A con I will mention is that I wish the opening to grab the papers was facing the same way as the small screen. It feels awkward pulling the sheets in the opposite direction. Great Printer so far. Its a solid all in one machine with longlasting economical ink tanks! Great size not bulky, great size scanner bed, very solid. Good Print Quality, functionality, ability to make 2 sided copies, ease of use, cheap maintenance, very durable, and flexible! Able to print from Iphone or ipad, works perfectly!

I recieved the Epson Eco Tank ET-M2170 Wireless Monochrome All-in-One supertank printer about two weeks ago and I must say I love this printer. Epson brand is such a great brand. The Quality of this printer blows other printers I have used out of the water easily. This printer was extremly easy to set up and start the printing process. I love that about this printer, I love that no matter how old you are the direction for setting up the printer was so easy to understand. I would have to say this printer is amazing other than the fact that it only prints in black and white and it has no fax machine attached. Those are two key features I need my printer to have. But other than that the printer does a great job printing. The black ink prints dark and bold which it perfect. Another flaw about the printer was the middle section that catches the paper after it is printed is a little hard to access quickly and easily. I love the scanner and copier on the printer it works very well. This printer was able to lift the quality I feel all others should have. Upon initial set up I was relieved and delighted by the lack of stress it entailed. With other printers setting up can be a hefty and extensive process. However a simple two page pamphlet with detailed and easy to follow steps made it beyond simple. Following this it was time to connect to my laptop. In previous times with other brands that was the breaking point. I would spend hours getting connected just for it to simply not work the next time I wanted to print. Not this time though, as the ink was charging I was worried and curious about the process with the wacky noises produced by the printer. Yet, now I know there was no need to worry because it was just doing it’s job. Following, the basic set up and connection it was time to print. On the first day I just printed a simple black and while coloring page to see how that would come out. The quality was good, I figured it was average just as other printers. The following day I decided to print something with more depth a family photo in black and white. Little did I know the wonders it would do, this photo came out phenomenal! Rather than a murky dull shade produced by the average printer. I obtained a photo that truly depicted the photo areas were not blurred or pixelated it was all there. That’s when I knew this printer was miles above others and that I probably won’t be making any trips to print shops anymore.
