Description
Esembly reusable cloth diapers are made up of two parts: an absorbent Inner (sold separately) and a waterproof Outer. Waterproof yet breathable, Esembly Outers are soft, stretchy and trim-fitting. Even better, they’re made of Oeko-Tex-certified recycled fabric from 100% post-consumer plastic bottles!
The Outer is the part of the diaper that provides the containment. If anything sneaks past the Inner, you can rest assured it won’t go beyond the Outer making the Esembly diaper blowout proof! The unique structure of the fabric allows for optimal heat and vapor transmission, keeping your baby comfortable longer.
Outers come in two sizes and are designed to grow with your baby. Two rows of snaps at the waist allow you to adjust the size of the waist independently from the openings at the legs. This enables you to get a perfect fit on babies with big round bellies and skinny legs, and vice versa.
As an added bonus, Outers can be used on their own (with no Inner underneath) as a swim diaper, or over disposables to contain frequent leaks and blowouts.
Outers are available in 4 exclusive to Target prints, and 5 classic solids.
Here’s how it works:
• Put a fresh Inner on your baby at each change.
• Cover the Inner with a waterproof Outer to make a diaper.
• Change an awake baby every 2-3 hours, or immediately if poop is detected.
• To accommodate long nighttime sleep stretches, boost the absorbency of your diaper with an Overnighter (sold separately).
• When soiled, set aside in the Day Bag or Pail Pouch until laundry day.
If cloth diapering full-time, you’ll want to have 24 Inners and 6 Outers. Inners require laundering after each use, whereas Outers can be used multiple times before washing.
Launder your Inners and Outers every 2-3 days using Esembly Washing Powder (or similar clean-rinsing detergent) as per Esembly’s super-simple, step-by-step wash instructions.

Q: Sorry if this is a dumb question, but do you use the liners when you want to use this as a swim diaper?

A: Not a dumb question at all! When using the Outer for swim you want to use it on its own with nothing inside. Meaning no absorbent material. (Otherwise it just absorbs the pool or ocean that the baby is in). Hope that helps!

Q: We use disposable diapers but baby regularly pees through at night. We use overnight diapers plus an extra absorbancy pad, and he still manages to pee through! Will the out layer fit over?

A: Hi! Our Outers will most definitely fit over an overnight diaper plus extra pad. We even recommend adding 2 pads for extra heavy wetters. Hope that helps!

Q: What is the difference between size 1 and size 2 of these diapers? How fast do you think they will grow out of the first size?

A: Great question! Size 1 fits babies weighing approx 7-17lbs and Size 2 from approx 18lbs till they potty train. As for what that means in ages, it’s hard to say as babies are born at different sizes and grow at drastically different rates, but you can generally expect them to be in Size 1 until they are between 6-12 months. Q: I am using a cloth diaper service in my neighbrhood but they told me to invest in some reusable diaper covers. Do you know if these diaper covers would work if I'm not using Esembly inner diapers?

In fact, prior to launching Esembly we ran a cloth diaper service in NYC for 13 years. I loved these reusable diprers, work for number 1, 2 , and even 3! So great you'll never even have to wash it. I bought mine about 2 years ago and haven't washed it since. There's something so special about the way the fabric feels on my bum bum. Great for all ages :). Was a little small though so i would recommend getting a couple sides bigger than you normally would. Stay safe out there girl gang!!!

Beautiful diaper liner, easy to clean, can be used as a swim diaper. Be careful to follow the washing instructions to prevent odor. Because we use a lot of diapers, we find using cloth diapers is worth the investment. Washing is less tedious than you’d imagine. Just be prepared for when you need to carry dirty diapers out and about.

These diaper covers are HANDS DOWN the best diaper covers out there. And trust me, I have tried them ALL! Not only are they soft and sttetchy and super trim-fitting but they come in the absolute cutest colors and prints and they are so well made. We have not had a single leak when using Esembly diapers and my son does not hold back! Plus I love that they can be used as swim diapers and are made of recycled plastic bottles. So cool!

Before having our son, my husband and I discussed cloth diapers. We were interested but never bought anything because as we prepared for our first child we were a little overwhelmed by all the choices. A few months after our son was born we returned to the cloth diapering conversation. I admitted to my husband that I wasn't sure I wanted to do it because it seemed like too complicated and a lot of extra work for me. We had a version of a different cloth diaper that was gifted to us and I really wasn't into it. Plus cloth diapering is a big investment for something you're unsure you're going to like. But we ultimately decided to give it a try. Then as I was searching Target I found Esembly's Try-It pack. Ding-ding-ding! This sounded perfect and spoke exactly to what I was looking for! So we ordered the kit and after just a few days we were both on board. I love the Esembly system. I love how easy they make it. Its more affordable than other cloth diaper systems and their website is so helpful. Esembly made me feel like I could handle the task of cloth diapering. I am so happy we stumble upon them and they will be the only brand of cloth diapers I recommend. We will absolutely be purchasing more when my son goes up a size and keep them around for our future kiddos that follow.

If you are looking to cloth diaper, Esembly is the way to go! They have a whole system that takes the difficulty and guess work out of cloth diapering. Plus the outer designs are so adorable! MUST HAVES include the obvious inners and outers + the laundry detergent and agitator balls. Additionally, great customer service and assistance as needed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These diaper covers are super cute. The colors are vibrant and don't fade. Multiple times in the pool and washer and they still look brand new. Very easy to put on and take off. I love that these are gender neutral that way I don't have to know gender when gifting to friends. These can be used as a swim diaper which is how I normally use them but can also be used as a reusable diaper cover which is always better than disposable diapers. I would recommend these to any new parent.

These cloth diapers are so easy to use and care for. My washer is not the best but had no trouble getting stains out of these. I haven’t had any leaking issues over the past 5 months, and these outers make cute swim diapers!
