This is the worst topcoat I’ve ever used. It does NOT Stop chipping. I have natural nails and found out it was useless.

Looked up the item because I thought I was using it wrong. I applied one coat and it never dried. When I did think it was dry after about 2 hours I rubbed my eye and it started burning. I woke up with creased nail polish, and for that matter my nail polish did end up chipping. I was surprised because I usually am a big fan of other Essie nail polishes.

Kinda sucks, no chips ahead is ironic. Of the Essie top coats I’ve tried this one by far chips the fastest!

Bought and applied over my hi maintenance. Would not dry. Left imprints even after sleeping over night. Would not recommend. Very disappointed after spending over ten dollars.

I’ve used Essie top coats before and this is my first purchase of this kind. I usually use a quick drying polish (either Sally or Essie brand) paired with a top coat and I get about 5-7 days of wear before removing and redoing. I don’t want to spend a ton of time doing my nails but I want them to look nice! No issues with dry time when using a quick dry regular polish and then this top coat. There seems to be a lot of reviews claiming chipping or slow dry time but I haven’t seen that with this topcoat!

base coat.. wait 5 minutes. color coat.. 10 minutes. second coat of color.. 20 minutes. i put this top coat on and touched nothing for over 4 hours, and it never hardened. christmas manicure ruined and 5 hours down the drain. i have used exclusively essie on my nails for almost a decade and am so disappointed they would leave a product like this on the shelves. back to my good to go top coat... sadly not in time for the holidays.

after waiting 3+ hours, it was still as tacky as it was 10 minutes after applying it. i have used excusively essie on my nails for about a decade, and i will be going back to my "good to go" top coat after this. don't buy.

Nice application and finish but like others, I couldn't get it to cure. I did my nails at 11am, let them dry for an hour and they seemed fine, when I woke up the next day I had sheet prints on all my nails. It may prevent chips but your nails will have sheet marks.

It doesn’t dry! I waited over an hour after applying on top of two coats of Essie “no more film” before getting in bed and woke up with sheet marks. I typically love any Essie product but not this one. To add insult to injury I just noticed a chip.

Doesn’t dry! You’ll wake up the next day with sheet imprints and smudges on your nail. It doesn’t matter how long before bed you paint 6 hours or 12.

I’ve just purchased this product, got home to put it on and …. OH NO! It’s so bad and I’m really resonating with all the 1-2 star comments, not drying and it’s been an hour! JUST WHEN I FINALLY GOT MY NAIL VARNISH TO LOOK PERFECT… so now I’m waiting until bed time for it to dry probably. SO sticky!! I’ll wake up to reveal gritty nails in the morning, what a waste of money. How is such a good brand (also worn by the late queen of Enlgand) allowing themselves this low a quality product. Please get it off the shelves!!! Come on Essie, you are better than this.
