The preciseness anddetail of the high-frequency range of EVE monitors, coupled with the generaltightness of the bass and mid-range, make the SC204 a superb speaker that iseasily used on the road (due to its reduced size) or as a second pair ofspeakers for your main setup.Understanding the Air Motion TransformerThe Air Motion Transformer (AMT) is a unique driver technology, distinct fromother audio drivers. It utilizes a lightweight, hand-folded diaphragm that isthinly coated with aluminum. The current of the music signal flows throughthese conductive strands. The diaphragm is placed in a powerful magnetic fieldleading to movement in the folds caused by the Lorenz force. Due to theopposing direction of the current the walls of each single fold work againsteach other. The air between the folds is squeezed in and out at a ratio of 1:4,compared to the 1:1 ratio of a regular dome tweeter. This results in higherresolution and dynamics in the tweeter section, along with a very lowdistortion level, allowing superior sound quality with enhanced detail andclarity.The SMART-KnobPress and hold the control for three seconds to put the monitor in Standbymode. The volume will decrease gradually while the LED ring lights up oncearound the Volume control. Afterwards, the LED on the right end will remaindimly lit and the power consumption is reduced to 1 watt. The volume can beadjusted by turning the knob. Depending on the LED mode selected, the volumewill be displayed as a dim or bright circle or as a dim or bright point. To putthe monitor in Mute Mode, turn the Volume control counterclockwise until youreach the minimum level. When the LED on the left end lights up dimly, the MuteMode is activated. Press the SMART-knob once to enter the Settings menu. Hereyou can set different filters as well as the LED ring's behavior. The LED ofthe currently active function blinks.
