[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I received this carseat as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel, I couldn't wait to try it out! A convertible carseat is perfect right now for both our 5 month old and 2.5 year old. Straight out of the box, I appreciated the feel of the fabrics and the slim size - key for fitting two carseats in our small sedan. It's also light enough for me to maneuver and install on my own (although it waa definitely nice to have help for the initial move into the car). The sun canopy is a unique and helpful addition. I was concerned about assembly and how useful the feature would actually be, but I was pleasantly surprised! Easy to put together and perfect coverage especially for baby. The straps were mostly easy to adjust. Sometimes they felt a little hard to pull tight enough, especially that last little inch or so. We're not ready to try forward facing, and the 2.5yo (35" tall) was still very comfortable in the rear facing settings. I felt very safe with the infant setting, too - the straps and padding didn't crowd his face and adjusted comfortably across his lap. Overall, it's great quality for an affordable midrange price that will definitely pay off over the longevity of usefulness through the booster stage!

With having both a rear facing 2 and 6 year old in a high back booster our car seat needs range, and this seat works wonders for us. There are a few stand out features that set it apart. First and foremost is the slim fit! We have a midsize suv and with All4Stages Slim+ 4-IN-1 Convertible Car Seat the back seat can finally seat 3 passengers. This is a game changer for us. The toddlers favorite feature is the retractable sun shade, while my 6 year old loves the snack tray. A few other notable features are the no-rethread harness, and the secure tight installation which made me feel confident about a safe installation into my car with less effort. Then there are the small things, like the little loops to home the latch anchors when not in use, you can tell they tried to think of everything! I drive a 4 door sports sedan (hey I'm not like a regular mom, I'm a cool mom) and I was worried about how this would fit, if at all. I'm coming off the Doona which anyone knows is extremely compact and works so well with every type of space. Well I have to thank Stellar Product Testing Panel for sending this 4 in 1 convertible seat because it's made me forget how devastated I was to say goodbye to our Doona. It fits amazingly in my car!! The description says it's slim... they did not lie!!! It also doesn't weigh a ton which I think every parent out there can appreciate it. Bulky and heavy are NOT in! My daughter seems super comfortable with the plush headrest and the adjustable straps that are really easy to work with. If I have any complaints it would be that setup is a bittricky as we used the Latch system, and it actually became frustrating after awhile. However, once it was installed it was a tight fir and the sear doesn't budge... that really makes it all worth it right??! Overall, I would definitely recommend this seat to a friend as it's budget friendly and still gets the job done which is protecting the precious cargo: our kiddos!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was fortunate enough to receive and test this product as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel, and the timing could not have been better! My family is preparing to welcome a third kiddo, who will be welcomed by 2 and 4-year-old siblings. With the coming child, we were faced with the reality that fitting three kids in the same row in our car would be difficult, especially when the two seats we had for them are not all that narrow. Their current car seats are slightly wider than the actual seat they are resting on, and leave little space in between them for a third seat – so little that we could not add a third seat of the same make and model that we already have. With the Evenflo, we were able to slip this seat right in between the two already installed seats without have to work any magic. This truly is a blessing, as it allows us to continue using our current seats without having to incur the cost of getting three new seats. As for comfort, we admittedly have not been able to test it in the newborn / infant configuration, as the third child has not yet arrived. However, we did test it in the front facing setup for our 2-year-old, and he loved it. He did not complain and seemed comfortable. We loved the quality of the fabric and thought that the canopy was a really nice touch, especially since we like to have our panoramic roof shade open at nearly all times. The seat material seems to be durable, and easy to clean, but continued use will surely test this more! It is also nice to see removable cupholders, especially since both are seldom needed for older kiddos and neither are needed for a newborn. Installation was easy, both through use of the seatbelt and/or the latch system, and the SecureTight system provides added peace of mind as a parent. With all the good out of the way, there is one big con for us and that relates to the cup holders. They are just TOO small. None of the water bottles we have for our kiddos fit in them and thus, their use case is severely limited. So far, we have only observed our 2-year-old using them to hold snacks or small toys which is somewhat useful, but not as useful as holding water bottles. It would be nice to have larger cup holders, or at least the option to buy larger ones. In the end, we think this will be a great seat for our growing family and we are looking forward to using it more!

The Evenflo All4Stages Slim+ 4-IN-1 Convertible Car Seat fit surprisingly well in my backseat alongside the two other car seats I already have. I was impressed to see that there was even a small gap between the seats, which made buckling and accessing each seat much easier. The slim design really does make a difference and made it easier to install the seat without compromising space for other passengers or car seats. As for the four modes of the seat, I think the concept is great in theory—being able to use one car seat from infancy through age ten is very appealing. However, I’m a bit skeptical about a seat that can truly accommodate both a newborn and a ten-year-old comfortably and safely. It seems like a lot to ask from one seat, and I don’t think it quite hits the mark for all ages. My daughter is 12 months old and weighs 16 pounds—she’s petite—and even with all the newborn inserts, the seat didn’t feel snug enough for her. That made me nervous, especially since I’m very cautious when it comes to car seat safety. Installation and adjustment weren’t as smooth as I’d hoped. The manual wasn’t very clear, and I ended up needing to search for online videos to figure out how to properly install the seat. I wish the instructions had been more straightforward and detailed. On the positive side, I really appreciated the built-in visor—a thoughtful feature to help block out the sun during car rides. And although the newborn inserts didn’t fully solve the fit issue for my petite baby, they did help make her a bit more comfortable and supported while on the road. Overall, this seat has some great features and a smart design, especially for families needing to fit multiple car seats. But I’d be cautious if you’re using it for a smaller baby, and I hope Evenflo improves the clarity of the installation instructions in future versions.

It came pretty much ready to use out of the box, just a few simple adjustments to fit my child’s needs. I have children in a forward facing 5 point seat, high back booster, and regular booster and love that this seat functions in so many ways. Its slim fit measurements and latch system worked great in our vehicles. I love that this seat comes with an infant sun shade as that is something I would have loved to utilize with a baby. My favorite part of this seat is how easy it is to switch between vehicles and styles of use. It is a bit heavy, but not unmanageable. My only complaint so far as the cupholders are a bit small and don’t hold my older children’s water bottles. When the seat arrived, the fabric pieces next to the head had slid off the plastic structure piece. It was difficult to get it to stay and slide back on so I’m interested to see how those hold up over time. Overall I’m pleased with this car seat and would recommend it to a friend! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The main feature of this carseat that stands out to me is that it is clearly built to keep my kiddo comfortable. They have taken into account any points of the harness that may be uncomfortable for your child and added padding. Yes, this car seat is slim. It woks well for my one-year old. I'm skeptical that it would be comfortable for my 3-year old, who is a 99th percentile kid, but to be fair I haven't tried that out yet. Some of the padding comes out, so its' possible that she'd be fine. The car seat was as easy as any other car seat to install. I appreciate that it has the latch mechanism under the seat padding to hold the belt in place. I have mixed opinions on the snack tray. I like that it makes it possible for younger children to have a snack within reach when they aren't yet able to hold onto a snack cup on their own. Also, it is removable, making it so easy to clean. Unfortunately, that also means that my one-year old can easily remove it which leads to a mess if it has snacks. I started keeping it in the door compartment because I was constantly climbing into the back seat to find it after she tossed it. Right out of the box, I was impressed with the good packaging and plush looking car seat! The installation was very straightforward especially with the QR code and handy install videos, but it takes time to figure out based on mode and to secure properly in vehicle. The construction on this car seat seems very sound. It is rigid, heavy and feels very sturdy like car seats I’ve had in higher price points. It seems like there is enough cushion overall to make this a comfortable ride. I was able to install this seat in our Honda Odyssey either forward or rear facing with latch, especially with its slim profile. A standout feature on this seat is the optional sun shade! The cup holders are also oversized for snacks etc. and can be removed for cleaning. First, with rear facing standard convertible type mode, I personally prefer a baby carrier type infant seat for ease of portability with a younger baby. If your infant doesn’t like the car seat carrier or if that system doesn’t work for your child, this could potentially work for your infant also especially with the sun shade. I would be cautious using this with a smaller infant in order to get leveling accurate to maintain airway and prevent head droop. Second, this seat would nicely fit a 20-40 lb child rear facing for as long as possible, though there are comparable car seats with higher rear facing weight limits so be mindful of that. The extra padding and cushions come easily out and the headrest/harness adjuster is so easy it really can be changed with one had at while the car seat is still installed. Just watch latch installation maximum weight limit which is typically 65 lbs total including the seat and child, but may vary by vehicle per the users manual. However, the main reason I’m deducting a star is because of the location of the seatbelt guides. If using with a harness on a toddler or small child who is rear facing, the harness needs to be at or below the level of their shoulders and the seatbelt guides for booster mode literally can rub on the child’s shoulders. Last, an older slim stature child could still fit in this front facing with seatbelt install. The harness straps can be used or removed based on preference and child’s weight. It was pretty straightforward to make the transition between these 2 modes. An older child can still use this as a booster, though I would prefer to use it for a 2-8 year old with the high back still attached (and buy a cheaper booster if still needed for older child). It is a little cumbersome to remove the bottom as a booster seat only, however, more concerning to ensure it is put back together again properly to safely be used in the other modes. The headrest is also rather narrow for an older child. Pros: -big pro that this car seat has a 10 year expiration date and could grow with your child or use for multiple children! -very unique sun shade! -It is a pretty slim seat for its type which can be very handy in 3 across or when traveling -switching modes and /or harness/headrest adjustment is rather simple. It is a one hand headrest/harness adjustment non rethread -straightforward to install but make sure to follow manual -The machine washable cover will come in handy Cons: -It is a heavy and bulky car seat at 26 lbs (albeit I like a heavy car seat for the sturdiness and protective feeling it has) -Since the bottom does detach, one needs to be very cautious when putting it back together that you follow all the warnings to use safely as a high back booster or convertible seat again which is a con of this type of all-in-one car seat design, not only this specific car seat -poor position of seatbelt guides rubs on child’s shoulders rear facing -rather slim headrest limiting use for a larger child I honestly haven’t had this seat long enough to work out many quirks but I can update it as things arise. I have a hard time giving something perfect marks, but it is apparent this is a well designed car seat with well thought out features. I have three kids age 1.5, 5, and 6 and this is the first time I’ve had a car seat that can truly accommodate any age. My favorite thing about this seat is how slim it is. Rear-facing it fit in the back of our Honda CRV with two backless boosters on either side of it, with room enough for the kids to buckle themselves. It’s a MIRACLE! I have many seats and none of them were slim enough to do this. Now both of our cars can fit all three kids, and we are delighted. The rear-facing mode is great for any age infant. This is the first convertible seat I’ve seen that has a canopy shade, so helpful for the infant stage. The recline level is very simple to change and the instructions for recline level based on weight are printed right on the seat which is WONDERFUL. My daughter was sad to find out the canopy does not work in front-facing mode, at least based on her height, so keep that in mind! The seat comes with two cup holders and a nice snack tray that presses right into a cup holder, and you can put it on either side. For the price of this seat I am shocked at all the features it has! Plus it’s good looking and did I mention SUPER SLIM! The modes are simple to switch between, every detail has been meticulously thought out for this product. I am so impressed. I have at least six other Evenflo seats I love as well, it’s my go-to brand for car seats for functional, affordable, and of course SAFE! Thank you for another amazing product. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I currently tested the All4Stages Slim after receiving it from the Steller Product Testing Panel. The slim design was nice but the style and design of the seat made it a little too tight for my almost three year old. The head protection pads touched both sides of her head while sitting in the seat with no extra room. Almost like a neck brace she could not look left or right. Some of the plastic of the seat was showing and I tried to adjust the cover but it was so tight in places it did not budge. I am use to car seat covers that can come off easily for the wash. As for my 2 month old. It reclined nicely but the recline button was under the front of the seat which was hard to reach in the rear facing position. For these reasons I give it about 3 stars. It’s a nice looking seat just not as high end and doesn’t feel as luxury as others.

We also have a compact car, while my husband is also 6ft tall. This usually means he needs to be the driver or we're pretty scrunched up otherwise. We currently have a pretty compact convertible car seat but when we had the chance to test the Slim+, we were super excited. The slim design was a PERFECT alternative that gave me some space to get in the backseat if my toddler needed me for any moment of time. But the best part -- which funny enough was the FIRST thing my husband noticed and mentioned when we took the car seat out of the box -- was the LATCH. He loves himself a quick latch and that's something he's missed ever since we moved away from our infant seat lol. He was so excited about testing the car seat out for this very reason and install was a breeze. The car seat itself is very thought-out especially for the price tag. The entire thing feels very sturdy (and honestly is a bit too heavy for lugging around in an airport for travel in case you were looking for that) and feels very safe. The material is comfortable and there's enough cushioning for all stages. The directions were simple and the cup holder + snack tray was such a solid touch. Our toddler climbed into it right away and enjoyed sitting in it. I also really liked the sunshade portion, and honestly was something that I personally missed once we moved away from our infant seat. The extra shading was super helpful especially since our toddler loves to stick to her afternoon nap and this helps us keep her cool in addition to the window shade. The ONLY thing that I would caveat is that as part of the "slim" features of it, it definitely does look like it could be too tight for some kids. My toddler is slim so she fits fine, but I could see it being uncomfortable if she was chubbier like how my older child was at this age. Otherwise, very very pleased with this car seat and glad to have a solid option without having to move our child forward-facing before we prefer. Having an suv with minimal space in the rear, this seat has solved many of our problems. Being a mom of 3, I have installed many car seats and this is by far, the easiest to install that I have owned. The biggest issue we have with car seats is the comfort of the seat once the child falls asleep. However, the design of the headrest on this car seat helps keep my child’s head upright even while napping. We love this car seat!

So to start, this carseat is incredibly compact compared to the convertible seats I have experience with. It fits perfectly into my compact SUV while sacrificing none of the comfort. My son loves this seat, and even used it for lounging before we installed it in the car, which says a lot since he has a history of really hating car seats! The double cup holder and snack tray have been very convenient features as well. I appreciate that we'll be able to extend our time rear-facing my son with the upper weight limit being 40lbs as well. I think by far my favorite feature has been the canopy. It allows my son to be far more comfortable on the road and get in his naps on busy days without the sun getting in his eyes. The only issue I draw with this seat is installation. I had a bit of trouble installing it in my car in the beginning, but with help from the manual and youtube we got it in. So other than a bit of the clunkiness at install, it's been otherwise a great product that I would recommend to any of my friends and family in a heartbeat!

We were looking for a seat for a kiddo who is growing super quickly and with a back seat that wasn’t getting bigger. The All4Stages Slim+ 4-IN-1 Convertible Car Seat from Evenflo hits a nice balance of feeling high quality and comfortable while being reasonably compact and not squishing other backseat passengers. Our kiddo has hit the forward-facing stage while still needing the harness belt. The manual was really great about making it clear how to modify the seat itself for this stage and how to secure the seat safely in the vehicle. (I was surprised that the seat anchors have a max out weight so switched to the recommended securing method.) Our kiddo loves to ‘do it by myself’ which brings the only drawbacks to this seat. The double cup holder makes it hard to get in the seat without help, and the chest clip needs a bit of force to clip and has pinch little fingers. We solved the first by removing the cup holder by the door, the second by holding the two clip pieces and having the kiddo push our hands to clip the buckle. For the value of peace of mind, we are really pleased with how this will grow with our family for years to come!

The Evenflo brand delivers good quality products and it shows in this All4Stages Slim+ 4-IN-1 Convertible Car seat. Firstly - it looks good, compact and comfortable. Secondly - Affordability, the price point is good since it can be used for all 4 stages of a child- rear facing, forward facing and booster. My 3 year old is in the forward facing mode and is pretty comfortable and safe - the bottle and snack holder on both sides are a good addition for any toddler's needs. It was not very challenging to install the car seat correctly after following the safety manual. I installed it alongside another forward facing and one booster car seat. I followed the seat belt and back tether method and the car seat is snugly installed and didn't move more than 1 inch after installation. I'm a mom of 2 who also does carpooling to school in my SUV so it was important for me to fit 3 car seats in the back whenever there is another child for drop off and this slim car seat for my 3 year old makes it so much easier to fit 2 more car seats in the back without compromising on the safety. I should give a shout-out to the canopy feature even though I didn't use it - it's a great idea to put this canopy for lil ones when in rear facing.

I was most impressed that it actually fit next to my other 2 car seats in the back of my SUV (rear-facing next to another rear-facing!) I’ve never been able to do this before with other seats. This is not a light seat, I can’t see myself lugging it through the airport, but it is great as a home staple. I often find myself having to choose car seat placement in the car based on where the seat will fit, particularly with tall drivers and rear-facing seats. This was not the case with this seat and it fit well! Install and transition between modes was pretty easy, similar to most other brands I’ve used. I love that it could hold both of my kiddos over time (currently 20 months and 6 years). Overall, great “lifetime” seat.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had the absolute pleasure of trying out All4Stages Slim+ 4-in-1 Convertible Car Seat with my toddler. Right off the bat I noticed the quality of the design and product. I was impressed with how sleek and slim the car seat actually was. It took up so much less room than other seats that we have used in the past. We were able to comfortably fit two additional passengers in the backseat of the vehicle and it didn’t feel like the car seat was encroaching on their space at all. Our toddler is on the cusp of transitioning from rear facing to forward facing so I love the longevity this seat will provide. My toddler is currently in the 99th percentile and I was shocked at how roomy the seat was even though it’s a “slim” model. He easily had enough room rear facing & I’m sure forward facing will be the same. Comfort-wise my toddler ended I preferring this seat over the two others we have and when we turn to forward facing in a couple months this is going to be our go-to seat! I also love that it’ll last us to the booster phase making it a great long term purchase. Install was a little tricky & confusing at first but once installed, the fit was amazing. I am shocked at how tight the install is and how secure it feels in the car. This is one of my biggest factors I look for when buying a car seat and I’d recommend this one based on the tight install alone! I had no issues adjusting the harness to fit my toddler and it was as easy as pulling up or pushing down the headrest. The snack cup add on and sun shade are awesome bonuses I’ve never seen before on a car seat. The sun shade in particular has come in handy a number of times during long sunny drives. overall we love this car seat and are SO happy to be using it as our go-to seat now! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, this seat is a good option if you use it from birth to booster, especially if you don't have ample space. I have a 20 month old and 5 1/2 year old who is big enough for boosters, so we were able to use it in all of its modes. It truly has a slim design, so I can fit another carseat, booster, or adult into my BMW X5 back seat relatively comfortably. As a rear-facing seat, it supports and cushions my 20 month old securely, but isn't too tight. He's been happy at its various reclined positions, and it's nice to have the canopy for this stage; many all-stage convertible seats don't have this feature. As a forward facing seat, my 5 1/2 year old says it's comfortable. Although it has a slim profile, it's plenty spacious for him. The cupholders with inserts for snacks (or toys) are obviously a bonus; although the cupholders are on the narrower side compared to others, that's not been a problem for us. As a booster, I like that it can be both high back and no back. As the high back booster, it provides seat height because it remains on the base (kids want to be high enough to see out windows). It also retains the safety of head, back, and neck support, but it gives kids the freedom of using only a seatbelt strap. The height, however, makes it a far reach to buckle the seat belt in an SUV. I have to stand on my car's running boards to reach the buckle (I'm 5'2"), and my son even has a hard time reaching it. The no back booster is like most boosters (still with the cupholders and optional snack tray). It seems safe, feels comfortable, and kids and parents can buckle it more easily. The straps are a negative point for me. They're less sturdy/thick than any other seat we've used, and they get twisted very easily. The seat fabric is of moderate quality, but seems comfortable and easy to clean. The ability to move the buckle to accommodate various stages creates more crevices for crumbs and dirt to become lodged. I had a hard time finding the button that loosens the straps. The ease of installation is also average. My husband isn't strong at this but he's installed many different seats, and it took him quite a while to install and transition between the different modes. I'm sure some others could do it more quickly. This is a good quality seat for growing families or grandparents of multiple kids. I like the Evenflo All4Stages Slim 4-in-1 Convertible Car Seat primarily because it’s both versatile and helps me save space so my other kids aren’t cramped in the car. Compared to the other car seats I’ve used, it’s definitely more compact. Highlights for me, beyond the compact benefit: I like that it goes from infant (rear/forward-facing) to booster stage (with and without the back), which makes it last a long time. I also really like the canopy and the reclining capability. My little one seems comfortable and doesn’t complain, so that’s also a win! The only downside was I found the harness a little harder to adjust, but I didn’t have a challenge installing it. This car seat came at the perfect time as we are about to welcome a new baby to the family and I now need to have 2 car seats installed at the same time. The slim design actually made it easy to install, even leaving room between the two car seats for diaper bags or other necessities. Evenflo definitely puts some thought into their designs, this seat has super easy to use adjustments to change the strap length, strap height, and the tilt of the seat itself. They even thought to include a level on both sides of the seat that shows what angle the seat should be in based on your baby's weight. There are clear diagrams on the sides to show installation routes and methods for both rear facing applications and front facing applications. You have the option to use the latch system to install the car seat or use the seatbelt to install it no matter if it is front or rear facing. The cushions and lining can be machine washed. There is plenty of padding and cushioning to keep your little passenger comfortable no matter which stage they are in. The cup holders are removable for cleaning which makes it nice and convenient. There is even a rubber insert for the cup holder to hold snacks or toys that would require a shallower surface than a cup holder. Every aspect of this seat is so well thought out with both the baby and the parents in mind. The fact that a carseat this well thought out also transitions from rear facing to front facing to high back booster and eventually backless booster with your child makes it a great investment. Paying a little more up front really balances out when you consider how many different seats you would need to buy over the years as your little one grows. Overall, I love this design and love the features offered. I would absolutely recommend this one to any expecting parents.
