Evol Frozen Ginger Soy Udon Noodles - 9oz

Good flavor and is plenty for a dinner for me. I wish it had less sodium & sugar. I really appreciate that this isn't real or "fake" meat!

The box describes this as soy ginger sauce, but all you can taste is the chili sauce that they put in there as a shortcut. Heat is not the same as flavor. It's a pity, because I love ginger and will eat tons of it, but I barely made my way through this dish because of the unnecessary heat levels. If you enjoy a new ones blasts of capsaicin, go for it, but if you actually want ginger soy noodles, skip this. The Purple Carrot udon bowl is way better. Totally agree with everyone saying that this is too small to be a meal, and it also doesn't have enough protein to keep you full for any reasonable amount of time. The only reason this isn't one star is because it had a pretty good amount of vegetables and the texture of the udon was good. I didn't have any problems with the peapods.

The portion is too small for an adult. It's more of a quick snack.

Tried this for dinner tonight and immediately wished I had a second to eat. Absolutely delicious. Not sold at my three closest stores which is a bummer because I would seriously be a heavy shopper on this item if I could.

These bowls used to be great. Ever since they changed from the black plastic bowl to the white paper bowl, the quality of the food has gone down. There is not as much sauce. But MOST IMPORTANTLY, The Snap Peas are not edible. They are ALWAYS completely hard and you can't bite through them. They need to fix this!

Since the redesign of the bowl a couple of years ago, the plastic covering doesn’t stay sealed in transit. Most of the meals I’ve gotten since then have had the sauce leak out into the box and the meals are often then freezer burned. Used to be a five star product.

Enjoyed and easy, quick to prepare in microwave.

I live the flavors in this bowl. Only issue was the pea pods were inedible…chewy and coarse.

Surprisingly good for frozen noodles. Chewy and satisfying texture to the udon.

A little on the pricey side but as a quick meal it’s satisfying and surprisingly super tasty for not having any meat and also being frozen.

So the flavor of this is delicious but I do sometimes add a little extra sauce that I have in my fridge.. currently I enjoy it with a spoon fool of a pineapple peanut sauce mixed up with the ginger soy and it really adds so much. The noodles in this are perfection and not something I would have thought possible from a frozen dish. There's someone in these comments talking about how the noodles are too chewy and I was just floored that they somehow thought a chewy udon noodle wasn't supposed to be chewy? This isn't Italian noodles... It's just... Purely insane because the box even explains they are chewy - how dense can something be (I mean the noodle lol). Anyways this is in my top 3 of favorite frozen dishes and as a single mother of two young children who works insane work hours I have to rely on frozen meals during my work days. This meal makes me happy when I eat it.. it has interesting and appetizing flavors and the texture is fantastic. The only thing I wish it had was a little extra sauce because the cooking time can really cause the sauce to evaporate but if you just add a spoonful or two of Asian dressing (I legit use salad dressings but the good Asian style ones that are thicker). I have that pineapple peanut sauce and a ginger soy similar to the one they use in the bowl and love adding a tiny bit of each. The dressings I use are also able to be used as marinades and I add them before cooking the meal in the microwave and it is perfect every single time. It really is delicious.. I wish the location near my house had these because as of now I have to drive 25-30 minutes to the closest location that does have them! Anyways, just try this and add a little tablespoon of sauce and I promise it'll make you extremely happy. Yum!

I love this meal! Perfect for when I’m craving Chinese food. Has the right amount of spice to it. Wish it was a little bigger but that’s okay.

I’ve gotten this a few times and it tastes good, but there is just WAY too much salt. I don’t mind salty things either, but it truly tastes like someone dropped an entire salt shaker in it.
