It was perfect for a 7yr old girl that loves makeup and handbags!

I bought this for my daughter for when she turned 9. It elicited some "oohs" when she opened it. She really likes the case and lipstick brushes. I think it's a nice gift for kids between 7-11.

She thought this makeup kit was a bit too young for her, but liked the colors that came in it. She didn't think it was bright enough when applied. So I think a younger kid playing with it would be a lot better. I recommend buying it for a 7 or 8 yr old.

My daughter is 8, and I allow her to play with makeup and wear in the house or on special occasions. I've always passed down my makeup palettes and other makeup items because the quality is much better than what is usually found in children's makeup sets. This set, however , is an excellent find. I love the versatility of it. There are plenty of options available. It even came with press on jewels to use with makeup looks or as earrings. My favorite thing about it is that it is easy to bring along for travel. She really enjoyed playing with it, and it was easy to clean off with a makeup wipe. I would recommend this for a starter set or even just to add it to a growing collection.
