About the Book
"An inspirational, accessible family cookbook that offers everything a parent needs to bring joy and love back into the kitchen, by the baby and toddler feeding experts behind Feeding Littles and the New York Times bestselling cookbook author of Inspiralized"--Book Synopsis
An inspirational, accessible family cookbook that offers everything a parent needs to bring joy and love back into the kitchen, by the baby and toddler feeding experts behind Feeding Littles and the New York Times bestselling cookbook author of Inspiralized. When it was time to introduce solids to her firstborn, Ali Maffucci didn't want to make baby food from scratch or buy expensive premade purées. Enter baby-led weaning (or baby-led feeding)--and Megan McNamee and Judy Delaware, the dietitian/occupational therapist duo behind preeminent parenting resource Feeding Littles--which skips spoon-feeding altogether so babies can eat what the family eats. As babies feed themselves, they explore a variety of aromas, shapes, and colors while developing fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, dexterity, and healthy eating habits. McNamee and Delaware also help their clients navigate--or prevent--picky eating at all ages and raise a generation of intuitive eaters who listen to their bodies and love a variety of food. Now, these powerhouse authors unite to provide a plan that will reduce stress and anxiety around mealtimes, nourish your loved ones, and satisfy everyone's palate with fun, easy, nutritious recipes. I really enjoy following Feeding Littles on Instagram and I enjoy cooking so I was looking forward to this book! I appreciate Megan & Judy’s philosophies on eating together as a family and tips for picky eaters, etc. And we have a new baby eating solid food so the BLW info was helpful! But I thought the recipes were way more complicated/unusual than I ever expected. Most had ingredients we don’t typically have or eat… cauliflower curry, chickpea coconut bites, butternut squash pancakes, salmon fish sticks, quinoa lasagna or pumpkin lasagna, falafel and tempeh. They actually sound fun to cook to try something new for me as an adult! But I don’t think our 3 older kids will be interested in most of it initially.
Finally! A recipie book that actually tastes good and is easy to understand

My husband and I suck at cooking and we knew it would be a problem when we had a kid. We have like 10 staples we rotate through but were getting sick of them and they weren't all kid friendly. Enter feeding littles. I follow them on insta and was curious about this when I saw them post about it. It's amazing! Not only does it taste great, all the time saving tips actually still keep the food tasting great. The little notes by each recipe alone are worth their weight in gold. Everything we've made so far has been delicious and honestly so fast to make. We both work 12 hour days and this has already saved us from ordering take out multiple times. I am so so grateful this cook book exists and delivers on every promise.
Not for us.

Honestly was disappointed. This book had pretty complicated recipes and time consuming. As a parent with a little one I was hoping for something a little easier with more common ingredients.

I really wanted to love this book as I love following their Instagram. But there are maybe 3-5 recipes that average eater kids would actually eat. I get that they want exposure to new ingredients but most of these recipes aren’t baby steps. The few recipes I tried were very flavorless… pumpkin chia bread has such a weird mushy texture it even made me gag and I like pretty much everything. Just didn’t hit the mark, disappointing.
Love it!

I love feeding littles! I almost didn’t buy this book though… I hate cook books. There’s usually 2-3 recipes that look appealing, or look doable. This book though- INCREDIBLE!! the way this book came together with all 3 of their expertise is unmatched. These recipes look and sound delicious- I have so many pages book marked- plus they are easy to follow and have time saving tips. They thought of everything!
Must buy!

Feeding Littles is a favorite Instagram follow of mine and this cookbook lived up to all my expectations! I love all of the tips with every recipe with ways to sub ingredients, how to present to kids, and ways to make recipes even easier when you "can't even." My kids are fairly picky eaters but I've already flagged at least half of the recipes because I think I can get them to try it (and probably like it!).
Love it!

So great! Been a Feeding Littles follower for a while now. Wasn’t sure if this would be as useful since my son is 4 but Megan assured it is good for older kiddos too and she’s absolutely right! So many great recipes. And such great content if you have a baby.. wish it was around a few years ago!
So helpful & well-written!

I absolutely love this book. Baby-led weaning has been worth it, but a LOT of work on my end as far as thinking about and preparing meals. This book has simplified my life so much. I know I can turn to a page and have a quick and healthy dinner for my family without making our kitchen look like a war zone. My favorite part is the “I can’t even!” add ons to the recipes that give little cheats for when you’re low on time, energy, or both. For any mom who feels stressed about baby-led weaning, or who just wants simple, nutritious meals, this is the book for you!
