First Alert SMI105-AC, Interconnect Hardwire Smoke Alarm with 10-Year Battery Backup

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recieved this free for review had a little trouble with installing . I have in my hall and so far it's been working pretty good. Haven't had up very long So I can't really comment battery life . But it seems very durable and effective it hasn't been Sebsative to just off for no reason.like other brands I have used in passed over all its seems like a great product. I tested the Sound and it seems to be loud enough where it could alarm you in any room of my home .

Awful. Cherping will not turn off even after changing battery. Only relief is to cut the wires I’m afraid

First Alert claims this device has some revolutionary technology that reduces false alarms. It does not. It actually alerts more frequently than the 10 year old detector it replaced. Seriously disappointed.

We put it 10 feet far away from kitchen, with detection range between 21 feet. Batter back up to 10 years. Sound is loud, good to from distance. It’s reliable to set up at your house!

I haven’t used long enough to tell if the battery is long lasting but I’m assuming with the quality that it will be. This was compatible with my older alarm. I plan to replace my other alarms with First Alert. Highly recommend!

The battery life so far seems good. the design and installation is a little bit hard to deal with and a bit out of my wheelhouse and level of comfort pertaining specifically to safety concerns. The item is somewhat sensitive to my air fryer. We are opting to stick with our regular smoke alarm as we're most comfortable with what we know and am used to.

This had a 10 year life, and doesn’t come with batteries but comes with a little pin to turn it off. We tested it out and it is very loud and works well!

Installing item was easy to understand and the noise was loud enough i would easily know if there was ever smoke near me or my detector. I am happy there is a 10 year battery backup so I can ensure I will never be caught off guard. The coloring of the detector also matches my paint perfectly which is a perfect match.

I like that it is hard wired in, but has a back up battery that won't be used until you pull the tab. It helps me know that It will be reliable.

The feature he liked most is the 10 year battery backup feature. It was installed towards the basement in the ceiling for extra protection to our home. We didn’t test it out so I don’t know how loud it will be. It’s a good product so far.
