The letter "H" won't slide through the middle where the child would practice their spelling.

The Fisher-Price Learn to Write Slide Writer is a fantastic educational tool that combines learning with play, making it perfect for young children starting to learn how to write. Designed for children ages 3 and up, this toy helps little ones practice their letters, numbers, and basic writing skills in a fun and interactive way. The Slide Writer is a compact, sturdy device with colorful, easy-to-use features. The slide mechanism allows kids to practice writing letters and numbers by tracing them with a stylus. The sliding feature is smooth and intuitive, helping children build fine motor skills while practicing their writing. It also offers a dry-erase surface, so children can wipe off their work and try again, which is both convenient and eco-friendly. One of the standout features is the built-in letter and number guides. These guides help kids learn proper letter formation, which is critical for developing handwriting skills. The accompanying stylus is easy for little hands to grip, and the sliding motion is enjoyable, keeping children engaged as they trace over the printed outlines. The Learn to Write Slide Writer is more than just a toy—it’s an educational tool that supports early literacy development. It encourages kids to practice letter recognition, proper handwriting techniques, and even fine motor coordination. With the ability to erase and start over. Pros: * Engaging design that holds a child’s attention * Teaches letter and number formation * Helps develop fine motor skills * Reusable writing surface * Portable and durable Cons:The stylus could be a little more comfortable for extended use, but it’s generally fine for short sessions limited to basic tracing; children may outgrow it once they’re more advanced in their writing skills. Overall my 3 year old has really enjoyed the Fisher-Price Learn to Write Slide Writer it has been a great tool for introducing him to the basics of writing. It’s a fun, effective way to practice writing letters and numbers while building fine motor skills. If you're looking for an interactive and hands-on way to support your child's early education, this is a product worth considering.

I thought it was a great idea for my four year old to master his letters but should have paid more attention. I wished it talked and had lowercase letters. It's not what I expected. It's basically an etch a sketch with letters.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This learn to write board is a upgraded version of the classic ones. It is light that my toddler cab carry it around and good size for their age. She loves to play with the alphabet letters and learning them is more fun!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 3 yr old has been intrigued with letters & scribling/writing since he started interacting with this toy. The attached pen helps not misplacing/losing it. The slide to erase the board is very helpful for him to erase what's on the board.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a parent of a 3 and a 5-year-old, I find the Fisher-Price Think & Learn Alpha SlideWriter to be a mixed bag. The kids enjoy the dry-erase surface but the letter guides are not little finger friendly. They are hard to navigate around the board and into the space for referencing. That takes parent assistance, and it is even frustrating for me! Overall, the toy is very durable and engaging for a short time, but it did not hold their interest for very long. It ended up a scribble board for now. Maybe when they are older, the letter and penmanship aspects will be utilized more.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This toy is so great. There are 2 blank squares ans I used the extra letter stickers to add an additional letter to one of the blank ones so I could spell my daughters name. This is such a fun way to teach them to write and learn letters and words.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First of all, after only a few uses, the writing screen started to show damage. This was very concerning and made me question the longevity of this learning toy. Next, you are limited to what words you can spell due to there being only one copy of each letter. Even though you are given two blank tiles and letter stickers, it still doesn’t give enough letters to spell a wide variety of words. When teaching children to write words, writing in all capital letters is not the best method of instruction. It would be more realistic and learning focused if it was all in lowercase. Finally, sliding the letters around the board to the center section to spell the words is very difficult. My daughter really struggled with this and became easily frustrated. I had high hopes for this educational toy and sadly, I was underwhelmed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is great for those just learning hours to write and their ABC's. My 4 year old loves trying to write his name and learning to identify the letters. The only thing that I wish was a little better is the slider that erases the words. It moves very easily and erases which frustrates my son. Overall a great learning toy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love that this toy has no screen. It is useful for teaching letters, basic phonics, and spelling. As a homeschool family, we will use this to add a little fun and variety to our handwriting practice. My daughter enjoys playing with it and is able to easily carry it around and use it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is great for kids who are learning to write letters and starting to write the words. She loves when you make a word for her and she can write it. My only complaint as a parent is the letters I kinda hard to find and move around to form the letters. Overall this is a wonderful toy and I would definitely recommend if your child is learning to write!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This toy encourages my son to practice his writing. He enjoys playing with it. The concept is great with the letters around the device that you move to spell, but it can be burdensome. Also, there aren’t enough vowels and duplicate letters to make many words (e.g., mom, dad, nana, etc). The area for writing and the pen work well. I appreciate the shape and gripper on the pen itself to promote the right way to hold a pencil. Overall, a great toy to teach basic spelling and writing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is great for encouraging little ones to try to write name and words. Though manipulating the letters to make a new word is a lot of moving letters but it is a fun way to get the the kids to work on writing and letter recognition.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the idea of this product but I feel as though it is made for the early learning stages. It is durable and works well, but my child is more advanced and lost interest. I would have used earlier in our learning. It would be great for a new learner!
