Its infuriating how bad this scale connects. The features are super basic, the connection is the only thing it has going for it and it will only connect maybe every 5-8 tries. Any Analog scale is better than this.

I use the aria, love it. Needed another scale, got this. It’s terrible. Doesn’t use wifi, so have to use the app actively to get it to sync, and it doesn’t do body fat. Basically a very expensive dumb scale, vs the actually useful aria/aria 2. No wonder Fitbit stopped supporting this air model

Hi, there. We're sorry to hear that you have to use the app actively to get your Fitbit Aria Air to sync. We recommend restarting your Aria Air by following these steps: On the back of Aria Air, touch and hold the button for 5 seconds. The display flashes otA. Touch and hold the button for another 5 seconds, until the display shows clr. Your scale has been reset. Fitbit Aria Air doesn't also use bioimpedance analysis, so it does not measure body composition metrics such as body fat or muscle mass. Please reach out to our customer support team if you have any further concerns.

Just purchased and it does not connect to the iPhone Fitbit app. Getting error message which is a known issue to Fitbit (just search their page). I am not able to sync or see the weight at all on the app. Contacted Fitbit customer service and all troubleshooting tried to no avail. Returning this scale.

But I paid for a smart scale. Measurements seemed accurate. It just wouldn't stay connected. It wouldn't stay connected, and wouldn't always connect. On-line help wasn't helpful.

I really like the idea of this scale. Auto-logging my weight using Fitbit would be great. Unfortunately the scale doesn't consistently work. Initial setup worked perfectly. Open app, step on scale, press save. Afterwards, it does not want to log the weight. I followed Fitbits troubleshooting steps from their website and it didn't fix the issues. The only thing that worked was factory resetting the scale and that only worked once. Not worth it.

Sleek and compact, but missing body composition capability

Fitbit dominates the fitness market for a reason, and this scale reflects the sleek, elegant design of their products. Fitbit's goal of being ingenious yet accessible is much better realized with the Aria Air scale (2019) than the older Aria 2 (2018). This scale is light, low profile, compact, and boasts a bright backlit display. There is a strong tempered glass finish on top and an overall minimal design. It pairs with the Fitbit app to provide a visual record of your weight over time, which was actually more motivating than I thought it would be. Even if this is your only Fitbit product, like it is with me, the technology puts it a bit ahead of other scales in the ever-broadening designer scale market. There are essentially no directions, other than downloading the app. You have to dig into the app a bit to find the option to pair a scale, make sure your Bluetooth is on, then step on the scale. If all goes well, which it usually does, a screen pops up showing your weight. It doesn't automatically save your weight, so be sure to tap the save button in the top right corner of your device screen, which isn't obvious at first. This scale doesn't do body composition measurements, like body fat or body water percentages. You can tell such scales as there will typically be conductor pads on the scale surface to send a bit of electricity through you. This is unfortunate, as this is a capability even much cheaper off-brand scales often have. Note that 'BMI', which is mentioned in the description of this product, is just a person's weight in kilograms divided by his or her height in meters squared. So someone with a lot of body fat could have the same BMI as a weight lifter. I have never seen the BMI measurement, and the app has never asked for my height. This scale also doesn't pair with wi-fi, which necessitates your having to have the app and Bluetooth on to catch your readings. Personally I consider this an advantage over the older Aria 2 which was wi-fi based, as apparently the Aria 2 was very difficult to set up and my only wi-fi is from my phone as a hotspot. The scale uses three included AAA batteries, which is also unfortunate as nowadays it should have its own rechargeable power. You may have some difficulty finding this item in the store. It's not with the other scales, but buried in the electronics department behind locked glass with other Fitbit products. I recommend buying online anyway as the one I first bought in the store had the directions for the Aria 2, and I could not get it paired with my phone. One last thing. This scale is quite expensive compared to other scales, particularly for not doing body composition, and I've never seen it on sale. For me it was still worth it.

I’m involved in a weight loss program using my home scale. Because I wear a Fitbit, I thought a Fitbit scale would be a time saver. Unfortunately, I discovered the Fitbit scale weighed heavier than my current scale and would have shown a sudden weight gain. For that reason, I returned the scale.

So far so good. I compared it to my old scale and it was about 1 pound off. No big deal. It was easy to add the device to my Fitbit app and it quickly synced. I’m excited about having this motivate me to be healthier.

Works well with my Fitbit app. It appears to be consistent and accurate. I compared it with another scale of mine and it showed the same exact weight. I like how this one forwards directly to my Fitbit app for easy weight tracking

Scale description is misleading as it doesn't show any BMI. Maybe it depends on which FitBit you have. The Bluetooth also keeps disconnection on the scale. I have to reset this in the app every time I wanna use it. I returned this scale, but Target refunded me and let me keep it. Even they know it's garbage! I'm giving two stars because I like the design and the bright LED light.
