A: I would think so. I do not think there is any significant absorption of glycerin into the bloodstream.

Q: How long does the suppositories stay in the rectum before it can be melted? Is 10 minutes enough ? I did, but it didn't be melted , should I need to wait more time?

A: Dear E Fang, The suppository is only intended to melt partially and the melting may not be noticeable and should produce an urge to have a bowel movement in 15 minutes to an hour.

Why is nobody talking about the burning?! I had no idea it would hurt so bad and burn so much. Even the next day I was practically crying on the toilet because every poop felt like glass ripping me apart and burning. I thought this would be gentle but I will stick with magnesium citrate from now on.

This is the best short acting laxative I have used. Yes, it is an odd sensation to insert a suppository, and it is mildly uncomfortable, but not as uncomfortable as constipation! (I use disposable latex gloves to insert and add just a touch of lotion/lubricant to the fingertip and tip of suppository. I highly recommend using a glove to insert, as it makes it a far less unpleasant experience). These work by rapidly drawing fluid to your lower colon, so you have to have stool in that area in order for it to work. I have chronic constipation and sometimes the stool sits a little higher in the colon. I find that for me, and those cases the suppository is not effective because there is no stool in the part of the colon where the fluid is being drawn to. Conversely, the suppositories will not work if placed inside stool. So if The stool is sitting right above the opening, then the suppository ends up being placed inside the stool, which is equally ineffective. These need to make contact with mucus membrane to be effective. These have none of the painful cramping, spasms, or burning sensation pain of fleets enemas or stimulant suppositories. I definitely notice when I have inserted one, and I know that it’s time to try and pass the stool when I start feeling like I’m about to poop myself , but there is zero pain (and I have zero tolerance for any pain )

I’m on a GLP-1 and can be prone to constipation. These resolve the matter faster and more gently than anything I’ve tried. I get big relief in 15 minutes or less. The price is value and unlike other options you don’t have to wait hours wondering if it will work.

I have never left a review in my life, but people need to know how amazing these are!! Just had my 2nd baby and if anybody knows, postpartum constipation is no joke. Mine got so bad, i developed internal & external hemorrhoids. My problem wasn’t going, but the size 😭! I was avoiding going to the bathroom and everything went downhill for weeks. Soo I'm 22 weeks pregnant right now, and one thing no one tells you about being pregnant is how hard your poop is. And I mean hard like a rock, and it hurts soo much to pass it...this last 3 days it was the worst, like it was stuck in my bum, the pain was the worst it's been so far, I couldn't even pass it for 3 days! I looked online and this was recommended. It wasn't as bad as I thought to insert it, and pregnant ladies: this works so well it helped me pass the most ridiculously huge and hard poop you can imagine. Do it if you need it its awesome!

After having Covid, I’ve had extreme stomach issues of all types. It’s been absolutely miserable. Like acid reflux, nausea, and constipation. Lately, my digestive system has not been doing what it’s supposed to, and I could not go to the bathroom for 5 days. I tried laxative tea and stool softener and nothing seemed to work. I was in pain and so uncomfortable. After trying this the first time and trying to go too soon, I tried again and 30 minutes later I could go. My suggestion is to wait for it to give you a strong urge. It was hard but it worked better for me when I did. I hardly ever write reviews, but this literally gave me my life back. I was sure that nothing was going to work and I was going to have to seek medical care, but this WORKED! I am so grateful, so happy, and it brought so much relief. Seriously, please try it!
