A: Hello naturalmama - Greay question! The floss picks are made with petrochemical products. The handle and floss are both traditional petroleum derived polymers. The products are not made with nylon or polyester. The UHMWPE2 yarn fibers used within Perrigo floss and flossers were tested and no PFOA was detected. Testing targeted 65 various per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) (including PFOA, PFOS, PFCA, other PFAS and their salts and related substances) with no detections. These are some of the best floss picks. They are sturdier than many other big brands. They also are thin enough to get in to tight spaces, while maintaining their resistance so you can actually scrape along the side of the tooth. The picker portion is good for getting larger pieces of food out too. I keep a bag in both our vehicles and in the bathroom.

I've never had a problem with these before. This particular bag, every single one has broken. The string frays; on every single one I've used. I notice because just like people watch pimple popping videos; I like to check the string. Gross, I know but I wouldn't have caught this sudden drop in quality otherwise.

I’ve finally started flossing regularly after 2 dentists pestered me about it. For someone who has never flossed before, these are an easy way to take that first step towards your oral health. Not the happiest about the amount of plastic I’m going to waste but they are really convenient to use. They do shred easily, but it lasts a whole cleaning cycle. Leaves a pleasant taste in your mouth

Yes these are priced great and you do get a lot for $3, but the floss does shred pretty easily. The biggest issue for me is that the toothpick part pokes my lip and gum when flossing which is super uncomfortable.
