About the Author



Angie Asche, MS, RD, CSSD, is a sports dietitian and nationally recognized food and nutrition expert. She owns and operates Eleat Sports Nutrition, which provides nutrition coaching and counseling to athletes nationwide, and is based in Lincoln, Nebraska. Since founding her company in 2014, she has worked with hundreds of high school, college, and professional athletes nationwide in the MLB, NHL and NFL. Angie has also worked as the nutrition consultant to the University of Nebraska volleyball team. She is a board certified specialist in sports dietetics (CSSD) and a certified exercise physiologist (ACSM-EP). Her expertise and recipes have been featured in national publications including Men's Journal, Muscle & Fitness, Food Network, Shape Magazine, Runner's World, and NBC News.

Lots of nutrition information. The recipes are easy to follow and the ingredients are easy to find. I like the tips at the end of the recipes of best times to eat the food (before or after a workout). The recipes are easy to double or triple for your needs. The macros for each recipe are all at the end so you can mix your recipes to meet your macros and meal plan.

I've been following Angie Asche of Eleat Nutrition on Instagram for a while now and have loved her science-based, simple to understand approach to nutrition. Therefore, as soon as I found out she had a book being released, I pre-ordered it! The book has a lot of great information on how to eat based on your goals (even if you're not an athlete), as well as delicious recipes. It's like a 2-in-1 information guide and cookbook. I definitely recommend for anyone who wants to understand more about how to fuel their body or not to sacrifice flavor in pursuit of changing their body composition.
