Fujitsu ScanSnap iX1600 Versatile Cloud Enabled Document Scanner for Mac and PC, White (PA03770-B615)

Have purchased and used diffgerent Scanne products over the years in connection with my. business ventures and have focused primarily on the Xerox product line. In past years I had also briefly reviwed but not considered the Fujitsu/Ricoh products but never purchased. After careful research, and review of the Scan Snap product line we chose to buy and what a great choice. Features, ease of use and overall speed and benefits its a real winner and we will stick with these products for the years to come to meet the needs of our clients as well as our own in house requirements!

I love the sleek design of the scanner. It is slim and does not take up alot of space. It was semi easy to set up and with the assistance of the customer service it was fixed. What is not good is that the app ABBYY reader is needed and it is not available right now. If your needing to scan multiple receipts to keep then this is the best scanner.

This product is fantastic. Easy to set up and even easier to use. I am able to scan and attach files easily.

This is the second Ricoh scanner I've had and I love it! My other one lasted 15 years and the newer version is quicker and easier to operate.

I had an old Scansnap. It scanned slowly but this new Scanner spits out the papers so fast it's amazing! I look forward to scanning receipts.

I use it to scan all my documents very easy to set up and use there are a lot of videos on YouTube to watch, for how to start.

Easy to use, do not need to be tech savvy to use the scanner!

I bought ScanSnap Scanners 10 years ago when I opened my practice and they are still going strong! They scan thousands of documents a day reliably. When I need additional scanners, this is the only kind I will buy. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

really fast, I use to send emails to people, so easy and so fast. However I need to call and learn to set up my folders

Scans super quick. put all your papers in at once. Its everything you could every dream of when dreaming about scanners.

Useless. You cannot save your documents. You get the "The document cannot be saved. You don't currently have permission. Please save the document with a different name or in a different folder" message. .

This is the first scanner I have worked with, and it has done everything that I needed in a scanner.

Very well designed and manufactured. The simplicity of the touch screen is very impressive. I combine this scanner with a 2024 iMac and Devon Technologies Software, and the result is speed, efficiency, and crisp reproduction of scanned pages. BRAVO!

The scanner checks all the boxes! So easy to use - simply open the top and it starts up and also loads the app on the desktop. From there simply push which type of scan you want! Software is exceptional! I highly recommend this scanner.

This scanner is used in my home for personal use so there is not a high volume. . I needed to replace my IX1300. Although the scanner was bigger than the IX1300, I decided to get the scanner. When I replaced my scanner using a USB port, I found it worked with the old Scansnap Manager, so I did not have to learn new software.

Its working now, but it wasn't a slam dunk. It took me two days to figure out how to load the software and get my old documents transfered. The instructions were not that helpful.

Recently, I replaced my 2009 SnapScan when I moved to a silicon Mac. Seems that the old software & machine were not compatable with the new Macs. Yes, there was 3rd party software available; but the scanner was 15 years old with OEM parts. It scanned well over 150,000 sheets. The ix1600 is very comparable to the old i1500 model. The ix1600 is much faster. The ScanSnap scanners are very good, reliable, and good value for money. So far the software does work but has a different presentation and flow than the older scanner software. The software works differently from the i1500. The new stuff is much fancier and is taking some time to reconcile. A few pointers as best I have learned so far ....... 1- the software stores everything in "its" library. I have a system (over the years) where document are placed. After moving the scans to the right place, having to clean up the ScanSnap homepage is an extra chore to do. yes, small potatoes but extra. 2- the old scanner allowed "one sheet per file", so the feeder could be loaded up with a mash of items. The new software seems to only allow one file per feeder load. So, either scan one sheet at a time or pluck pages out of a 50 sheet scan? 3- the software seems to be built for a large volume invoice processing or high traffic client office, which is different from the old software. As I recall, the old software seemed to allow more "manual" control and options. 4- the business card scan does not extract data from the scan for automatic input into a database ..... as best I can tell. So, scanning business cards is like scanning photos. 5- the software has a different feel. No doubt, I will get the hang of it.
