I tried using this spray to restore some wave and volume to my hair and it does the job! And also smells good and doesn’t leave a thick residue that would weigh down my hair.

That said, I give this product a solid 10/10. It works great as a heat protectant, has a pleasant scent, and doesn’t leave any residue in my hair like some other products I've tried.

I’ve been using this product for the past week and it gives me the perfect waves! I already have wavy hair but this product helps maintain the waves with less frizz. I love that it doesn’t leave a crunchy feel and leaves my hair looking shiny.

I did love that it gave my hair volume and did not make it super crunchy. As far as ingredients go, I love everything and will keep using for more of a volume product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have naturally really thick, wavy/curly hair, and quite a bit of frizz when there is any humidity at all in the air. Wave defining sprays are one of my favorite products during the summer months for that reason, as they keep my hair from being ALL frizz. The Function of Beauty Beach Day Wave Defining Spray is the first wave spray I’ve used that is salt-free. This one instead uses coconut sugar and to be honest, I don’t think I liked it as much. It kind of left my hair feeling “sticky” and a bit weighed down. The first time I used it I tried scrunching it through my damp hair but didn’t love the way it looked after, so the next time I tried when my hair was more wet, and scrunched a lot more lightly, and was much happier with the results. I did have more frizz with this product than I’ve had with other wave sprays, but obviously I would’ve likely had less had I mixed in some of Function of Beauty’s #hairgoals add ins. I will say I LOVE the scent of this spray, my hair smells amazing after applying and it dries down very light. I also love that it’s 100% vegan and has UV protection! I’m curious to know how much of a difference the brand’s add ins would make, and how my hair would look after so I’ll probably purchase again to see if it makes me like this product more.

The best part is that it doesn’t dry your hair out or make it crunchy like gel does. If you have pin straight hair it won’t do much for you but if your hair has some movement it’ll increase the waves.

It takes about 5 min to style it for the night, then when I wake up I am able to take my hair down and go about my day. It adds a subtle shine, but not enough to look oily and it smells like I just left the salon. 10/10 recommend for those who don’t have time to spend hours styling their hair. I went from using about 5 products and spending 2 hours on my hair that would last a max of 5 hours, to using 1 that takes 5-10 minutes and lasts about 12 hours.
Frizz control and UV protection makes this a must!

It has a pleasant fruity smell with zero residue left behind on the hair. I've noticed my hair thriving with long-lasting styles after using the product. Also it's vegan and offers UV protection so it's the perfect addition to any beach hair do!
