A: Hi there, Our #hairgoal booster shots are designed to be mixed in with your Function of Beauty shampoo and conditioner base - not applied directly to your hair. That said, if you have already gone ahead and applied them directly to your hair, don't worry, they're safe, unfortunately they just won't work their magic in quite the same way as they're intended to.

Q: I didn't realize the booster shots were labeled for which one goes in the conditioner and in the shampoo. I just added the shots in without realizing. Is there a huge difference in each shot?

Lately my curls have been stringy and dehydrated with little to no definition. I tried this curl cream with hopes of rejuvenating my hair. I’m so glad I did. This was gifted to me by Function of Beauty. While I don’t know how much impact this makes on the shampoo and the conditioner I do enjoy the mixing and versatility of this! I like that they have different versions for different types of hair, and it is relatively inexpensive. However, I am not sure that it is completely necessary.

I received this hair booster shot complimentary from Function of Beauty in exchange for my honest review. Instructions were super easy to follow, just add one shot each to your shampoo and conditioner. I was surprised at how well this shot hydrated my hair. It made my hair feel very soft and was the perfect addition to my shampoo to ensure extra moisture. I'll definitely use these in the winter when my hair is dryer.

I have fairly thin, curly hair with blonde highlights. I usually straighten my hair so I loved having this product for my curls. I received this product complimentary from functionofbeauty. I mixed in the #HairGoals customization Shine product into the Styling Curly Hair bottle. I sprayed this all over my head after my hair dried a little and then used an infuser on the root of my hair. It made combing through my hair very smooth and the shine was noticeable. Great to add to my curl routine!

I received this product gifted by Function of Beauty x Target free for review. I really love the innovativeness of this product. That you can add a “booster” to fit your specific needs to the regular product itself. When it comes to the product, I think it does exactly what it says it will. It adds some shine, softens and detangles, and adds a little hold to your curls. My only issue is that it does add a slight “crunchiness” and slightly weighs down my curls. However, I seem to have this problem with every product I’ve tried - I have very fine porous hair and I can’t escape this issue lol. But out of all the products I’ve tried this one and other leave in style sprays work best. I just have to be careful not to use too much and it helps with hold and shine! I also absolutely love the smell of this. I do think I would probably purchase with my own money when I run out.

The product itself was great for detangling, I also used it as a leave in and was very pleased with how my hair turned out. I added the shine booster to my curl cream and the combo left my hair looking so healthy & bouncy!

This product was sensational for my hair. It gave my hair the boost it needed for my curls. First off, the scent is amazing. It was easy to use. It kept my curls bouncy and defined. My hair felt softer, smoother and well hydrated. My curls kept its form and were extra curly. This is truly a great product to use if you have curly hair.

The function of beauty boosters x Target was gifted to me for an honest review. I wanted to try with and without the booster shots to see the difference. The strength boost adds that healthy glow to my hair. The hair without the booster was good but I feel the boosters really help in making that healthy look. The only downside is mixing the product. You really have to shake it well or mix it using a straw. That’s what I did. Would recommend.
