This thing works great! I was hesitant about buying because of other reviews about long hair cats but this works great for my 2 siberians. The only annoyance is when I brush them the static sends the cat hair flying. So now I do a light mist of water on the brush before and it helps the hair gather instead of fly off in the air. I added a picture after I brushed my cat. He loves it!

Is it just me? Anyone with a long hair cat? My cat is in extreme pain every time I use this and she would try to bite the product away from her. I ignore thinking she’s being a big baby because of the good reviews but I notice that her hair was thinning out and getting shorter in areas I went over. I got scared and stopped. Am I the only one? I think this product it literally plucking my car fur out rather than removing the ones that had naturally shedded off. I’m cuddling her now cause I feel so bad for the pain I was causing her. I know the reviews are genuine, this product works perfectly for them but I do not recommend for long fur cats. So 3 stars cause it works. But it loses two stars because it doesn’t work for my cat.

Someone in the reviews earlier said something like "yes this seems pricey but it is worth it, especially if you consider how many other brushes you've tried" and they were RIGHT. So worth it. My cat loves it. He is a 15lb orange maine coon and he's getting older, and I noticed he's having a little more trouble lately grooming, and more matted fur than usual. This is AWESOME at helping keep his fur manageable and clean. SO MUCH FUR comes off, gently. And he loves it, it's better than cat nip, he literally is obsessed with it.

We bought 2 medium cat tools, one for long hair, one for short. There is no way to easily tell them apart. The tiny tiny letters and numbers on the blade are no help since they don't correspond with any numbers on the box, insert, or this site. I'm guessing the 23B45 and the 30C45 correspond to # of teeth in the comb, but without knowing which is which, it's no help. I'll be writing 'long' and 'short' on them as soon as I find out which is which. My suggestion is that Furminator either place these numbers on the box, or better yet, print 'long' and 'short' on the combs.

I had bought a small one of these when my cats were very young, and it was fine, so I thought I'd be able to use it when they were older, too. But I found I'd have to clear it between every couple brushings, so it wasn't ideal. I got this one in hopes it'd make the brush sessions go easier and quicker, and that's exactly what it did! I'm now able to get as much from one brushing as I used to after several, so this is more comfortable and convenient for everyone.

I am so pleased with the Furminator! I have allergies and am always seeking ways to keep the dander and shedding down. I think this will definitely help. I've used it twice and I couldn't believe how much fur this removed. Our cats' coats look so much better, too. In my limited experience, it does take 2 people though - one to keep the cat in place and the other to use the tool.

This product is amazing and works great to get rid of layers of fur! I suggest there be two people to help with brushing the cat with this. If you try to do it on your own you might get frustrated. One person holds and pets the cat, also have toys ready to distract the cat while the other person brushes the cat. You will get huge amounts of hair that comes out and the cats feel great afterwards! I don't think many cats like being brushed but this brush does not harm or hurt them in any way and it removes piles of hair. We've been using ours for 4 years now and it is still going strong - works perfect in Spring when they are shedding all their hair.

I loved my last one. It disappeared so I bought a new one. Am so disappointed. It does not work well. Catches and pulls on hair - hair does not collect in brush but instead flies all over. No need for hair removal button - tool never collects any hair. Bought tool for cat and one for dog. Both work poorly. Furminator used to be the best - what happened?
