Improve your posture and work your abs from the chair of your choice with the inflatable Balance Disc. The micromovements of the instability of the Balance Disc encourages you to engage your core muscles while you sit and prevents slouching. The disc can also be used for strengthening exercises in your chair or on the floor. By controlling the firmness of the cushion, you can adapt it to your fitness needs and preference for comfort level. Q: What is meant by the statement that the product cannot be used on painted or finished surfaces ? Does this mean it cannot be used on hardwood floors ?

A: Please do not place the Balance Disc directly on painted or finished surfaces. We recommend placing something in between the disc and the surface like a towel.

A: I recommend deflating the cushion slightly for a greater challenge. More instability creates a greater challenge as it encourages you to use your core and stabilizing muscles more!

A: This does not come with a pump. The cushion will arrive pre-inflated and does include an inflation needle that can be attached to a standard hand pump if you ever need to add or remove air.

Favorite Office Toy
I know this isn't a toy, but I had to reference that in my title since everyone in my office wants to try it out whenever I bring it out. It definitely helps with my posture throughout the day and engaging my core so I'm not just sitting at a desk for 8 hours out of the day. I also like to stand on it as a balance challenge when using my desk in it's standing form. I've already bought one as a gift and will probably end up buying more.

Use the product on dining room chairs to work on balance and keeping back straight to prevent slouching while eating. Better for digestion.

Do not buy this
This product completely damaged one of my chairs and partially ruined another one. Customer service sent me the warning about some surfaces, but in reality, this would not be safe on a fabric surface or even on your floor to exercise. Company is not accountable and in reality this has given me lowe back problems from three weeks of use. For context, I am active, fit, and a certified yoga instructor. My expensive uncomfortable chair is comfortable again!
This product has tightened my core just by sitting, it's amazing. The best thing is that I had an expensive chair and I keep buying them but I sit so much that nothing is comfortable. I had been sitting on my Gaiam ball and decided to order another for my other office. This was the perfect solution for the uncomfortable expensive chair that I currently had. Not going to purchase- I have nothing to inflate it with!
I REALLY want to try this, but being disabled and low-income, I do not have a way to inflate it if it arrives deflated as some have mentioned or adjustment is needed later. I've never owned a pump for anything and they do not seem to be universal, nor do I see one offered for this product. Why not? I seriously need this for pain relief and can't understand why all items needed would not be offered together (like the larger balls for sitting which are too advanced for me at this stage). There are enough great reviews to justify the purchase, but not if I'm not able to get everything needed to use it. Thanks for the time. *review sourced from Gaiam

I sold my daughter in law on the disc without trying.
I use the balance disc at my desk and move it to the dining room if having guests for dinner. I also use it when I am sewing. My daughter-in-law used it while she was here and told me she was going to get one as she works in an office and sits pretty much all day. *review sourced from Gaiam
