The balance board is a popular choice for those using standing desks, offering benefits like improved focus, reduced foot and back pain, and enhanced core strength. Many guests appreciate its ability to keep them active and engaged during long work hours. However, some have noted issues with the foam's durability, suggesting it may not withstand prolonged use. Overall great product for use in balance and strength training. Make sure that this product is not on a slippery surface when using it and hang on to a chair or railing when first trying it out.

I bought this because my feet were getting sore standing on a standard anti fatigue mat. I'm recovering from a ruptured disc so I stand for 90% of the time at work. Standing in one place for 8 hours 5 days a week at my work desk was making my feet swollen and sore. Now I use this wobble board my feet are so much happier. It also helps me focus better. I have ADHD and can be very fidgety and get restless sitting in one place. Now I can wiggle on the wobble board with my hands free to work on the computer.
Definitely check this one out, especially for standing desks

I really wasn't sure about this one. when I ordered it. I was also purchasing a sit/stand ball stool. Amazingly it is pretty easy to work while balancing and it feels like you are engaging all muscles. No more leaning to one side and a hurt back as a result. I highly recommend giving this a try. I really like mine. *review sourced from Gaiam

This is the third of this kind of device I've tried and it is fantastic! There's cushioning under the feet. The point that hits the floor is rounded and not hard on our wood floors. I can stand still on it for quite a long time or wiggle any way I like, or do side-to-side ""side-ups."" *review sourced from Gaiam

creates messes everywhere

Put something between this and your floor. I found out the hard way that it will destroy the finish on your floor if there isn't a thick protective layer under it. It only took about a year for the foam to start disintegrating. At this point (about two years) I am throwing it out. there is blue foam all over my office, and no matter how often I vacuum it up the mess begins again as soon as I step on the board. The foam sticks to fabrics, so I'm finding it all over my clothes. I have only ever used the board in bare feet or with socks on, so I don't understand why it is falling apart like this. *review sourced from Gaiam

Works well, but I am still figuring out the best position

I am still finding the best position to stand on this, so as to not strain my lower back. It keeps me ""moving"" through movement to maintain balance. I have to consciously untuck my hips, so my lower back does not become fatigued. I think it is better for short periods of use at my sit/stand desk. Using for longer periods seems to cause more strain than fitness. *review sourced from Gaiam

The balance board works great on smooth surfaces. I can scoot it closer or further away while standing on it and holding on to my standup desk. Once I got a standup desk, I wonder how I ever SAT for so many years. My hips were a bit achy if I stood all day at my desk, my feet ached some too. I have not had that problem with the balance board. I am so fidgety that I call it my boogie board. I can do toe stretches while working (like calf raises on steps), shift weight from left to right to left foot, bobble front to back to front, even CAREFULLY stand with one foot in the center and try to balance. I have horrible balance (ear problems for 50+ years), so maybe this will help my balance. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to walk after a couple days of my board, but no aches at all and I think it has given me MORE energy! I haven't gotten sleepy around 1-2pm, like I usually had either. Maybe that is a coincidence, but I don't think so. My big toe on one foot fell asleep the first half of the first day. That was odd. After that, no aches in my hips or feet like when I'd stand all day at my desk. I have stood on the balance board from 530am til 4pm. I LOVE this thing! Maybe it'll even tone me up! If not, I'm having lots of fun with it anyway. I would recommend this to anyone and everyone. *review sourced from Gaiam

I bought this for my husband to use while he stands and tutors. While standing is better than sitting while working, legs get fatigue and the balance board helps with this. *review sourced from Gaiam

I enjoy the balance board with my standing desk in my new, but semi-permanent pandemic WFH situation. However, I have been using the board every day for 2 months and today the foam ripped out a huge chunk and tore in several places, I guess I misstepped on it. I would not repurchase unless the product was updated with a better foam adhesion and strength. For the price, and considering the quality of other Gaiam products, I would have expected this to last longer. *review sourced from Gaiam

The quality is superb. It's challenging and fun to mess around with. I thought I had really good balance, but using this, I've seen improvements I hadn't anticipated. Great for engaging your muscles while standing at work, in the kitchen or just chatting. *review sourced from Gaiam
