Cleaning products are usually alkaline because soils are generally acidic and require an alkaline solution to remove them. I don’t understand why gain wants to cheap out and change this detergent from the previous 75 percent plant based ingredients to now only 34 percent plant based? This was the only detergent that worked for our family. We 100% prefer plant based ingredients and lived the smell. Now it’s more synthetic ingredients and less of what we needed and loved. I’m just so disappointed in the change and wish companies would listen to the consumer. It’s always about bigger profits at the consumer expense. I guess I’m back to finding a new detergent to use. I will no longer buy this because 1/3 plant based ingredients is not enough. Gain took something awesome and made it like the rest.

My family overall has sensitive skin so we tend to stick to as much plant based household products as possible. I have psoriasis and my kids have ezcema. The detergent removes stains (when pretreated) and odors. I have found the holy trio for our laundry care. I use Downy Light White Lavender Laundry Scent Booster Beads, Downy Nature Blends Honey Lavender Scent Liquid Fabric Softener & Gain Botanicals Plant Based White Tea & Lavender Liquid Laundry. These smell amazing together and scent lasts until the next wash!!

I loveeee this detergent. Cannot use any other one anymore. I initially LOVED how my babys Dreft detergent smelled,i loved the clean baby smell. So i went on a hunt to find a better and cheaper alternative that smells the same and found this Gain. Now i use it for both baby clothes and mommy and daddy’s clothes.

As much as I'm a pod laundry type of person, there are some loads that would do better with liquid. I chose this one because of the scent notes and that it was plant based. I also tried the other lavender one (that I can't seem to find anymore) and the scent was not that nice, at all. I can't explain it but it was almost sickening sweet. Not something you want on clothes you'll be wearing all day. I much prefer this one instead!
