What happened to this fabric softener? Leaves a funky after smell on clothes. Am I the only one noticing this? Even used less and it still creates the same after smell on my hands

I've been using Gain Fabric Softeners for years. This new formula is so strongly scented that I had to rewash my laundry to remove the smell. What the heck happened to my Gain? :(

Seriously, what is there not to like about this product. The gain fabric softener smells amazing and my clothes have a very fresh scent when coming out of the dryer. They still carry the scent later in the week when I take them out of the drawer or closet.
