I love this crop coop. Birds and mice can't eat my seedlings, raccoons can't dig up the plants. Easy to open and close. I tie mine shut, cotter pins were too much trouble. I spray painted mine before use as I live on a coastal island.

I wouldn't know how these work...I ordered them on April 20th and today is May 24th! No email, nothing. Called the "World class" customer service and the giggling girl told me "Well, you just have to wait. That's the way it is." YEP, THAT"S WHAT SHE SAID! Sitting on hold with Customer service to again inquire as to when these might arrive. I think they look great and I ordered them because I think the concept is great. If they ever get here, I'll review the actual product.

I hoped this would keep critters out of my tomatoes, but it doesn't. I've lost 8 beautiful tomatoes already this year. I don't know if it's chipmunks, rabbits or what, I even put an extra layer of plastic grid around the bottom and they are still getting in. This was a bit of a fail for me.
Great but needs a bottom!

We tried to grow tomatoes here for several years. The squirrels got most of them. I humanely trapped 32 squirrels and took them 5 miles away and let them loose )over 600 miles of driving). Still more squirrels came. Gave up! Saw this and I hope that it will work. So far the first tomato will cost almost $200, not counting what we spent in the past.

My backyard backs up to a nature preserve, so I was never able to protect my plants from the rabbits and deer. My delivery came on time and accurately fit the description on the website. This enclosure is big enough for plants of all sizes. It's very easy to assemble (took me less than 30 minutes), easy to open and close, and can be relocated to another area with no problem. Also, it tucks away nicely in my backyard and blends in to any landscape. I'd definitely buy again.

Have owned 2 of these for at least 1 year. Was able to put together without assistance. They are sturdy. I kept them in the garden over the winter. One has a bit of rust starting on the frame and a hinge broke off, so I used zip ties to secure. No problem on both fronts as I can spray paint the cages if I want to freshen them up or create a unique look. Zip ties work well to stabilize the entire frame. Am so happy with this product that I ordered 2 more and 2 coop extenders to make them taller for my tomato plants. Love the gardeners products!

Some of the hinge pins did not line up correctly and some of them fell off. I had to use zip ties to secure the sides

I bought one to see if it would work for my space and it worked so well that I bought a second one. Didn't have any issues with it falling apart or having broken pieces. Only thing was the second cage had just one of the hinges not line up correctly to be able to slide in the clip. I did zip tie them just to make sure it was extra sturdy but I don't think it really needed it. I love the hinge opening, it makes it so easy to get to my plants and it stays up- you don't have to worry about it falling down on you. So far this has been the only thing to keep the squirrels and raccoons out of my containers!

We have deer and I knew I needed more than the normal fence. I read a previous review that a purchaser recommended painting and using zip ties to hold it together, which I did. I love that the Earth Boxes and a planter fit inside. I can cover them easily if it's too cold or too hot.

I was looking for something to protect our Earth Boxes from deer, and we bought four cages. These work fine. The sunniest part of the house is against a wall. Another reviewer said he painted them, and I did too. That was a pain, but I think worth it. If you do spray paint them, stack them staggered, and there will be less waste. We put them together with zip ties, carabiner clips, and ignored the metal clips.

The bottom cage fell apart on unboxing with the metal "hinge" bands just falling off the frame. Some of the holes were so clogged that the pins to hold the unit together could not be used. The holes did not line up. I needed to use zip ties to put the unit together. It is VERY cheaply made and disappointing.

I am using this product to protect a couple of tomato plants from birds and antelope squirrels. I also plan to attach roll down sunscreen fabric to the front so when our heat soars here. Yards are small and this works up against the house.
