The watch that does it all!

From backpacking, to running, to working out, this watch does it all. Instead of asking what this watch can do, the better question is what can it NOT do. The battery life is amazing and the GPS capabilities are unmatched. The AMOLED face is super bright even in the direct sunlight. Definitely not a watch that a beginner would need, but an amazing tool for an avid explorer and athlete!

I love it. I use it everyday. I charge it once a weekend but I think I could charge it once every 2 weeks which is a total upgrade from my apple watch that I had to charge every night. I don’t use the sleep app but there’s so many features that I don’t even realize how useful it is!

Battery Life is exceptional

I had the Epix before and it was a great sports accessory. This does all that and more. The battery life is the most noticeable immediate difference. I use this for everything, although apparently I need to sleep more and I am really out of shape ... lol! This watch will work for any stats geek whilst still being popular with the weekend warrior who likes to smash out activities and track them.

The watch is light, unobtrusive and comfortable. It does an excellent job tracking my exercise and sleep. It is much more accurate tracking my swims than my previous Fenix 5

Unreliable with poor software

Possibly a good hardware with a very poor software. Consistently showing different data on the watch and connect up. If you cannot trust or rely on it, why would you use it for? Support was very unhelpful…for 2 months coming back with the same response: we are still checking

Another solid Garmin product

I bought this watch to replace my 6.5 year old Fenix 5. I have only been using it for a weekend, but so far so good. The heart rate monitor seems much more accurate, and the insights are way deeper and more personalized. I also like how much customization is possible with this watch. Lastly, the screen clarity is truly incredible. As with all Garmins, the battery life and waterproof attributes are also on point. Highly recommend!

Great watch with frustrating HR accuracy with some activities.

First, I love the look of the watch, the build quality, the battery life, the GPS accuracy and the customizability. It's come a long way since my first Fenix 3 HR+. I do find that with uphill skiing and rock climbing the heart rate is really inaccurate. I'll be doing a tempo effort and my HR is 110-120. If I wear a chest strap it'll be where I expect. I think it has to do with the wrist movement involved. My Apple watch seemed much more accurate for HR the same activities. But, the GPS would add 1,000ft of climbing that didn't actually happen, the battery wouldn't last a full day skiing and style is pretty bad. I'll be sticking with the Fenix for now, I just wish that HR Sensor was a little better.

Worth the upgrade

Garmin has really got a great watch here and I am so happy I got one. I love the sensors and notice a difference when it's reading my HR or OX or counting my reps; though it's not perfect, it allows you to manually input your reps if it missed counting any. I love the water ejection feature, so when I'm playing music using the built-in speaker and I got under water; I use this feature to. lear out the water and get the sound quality back. I can use the my wallet whenever the tap is used in stores. I love the flashlight that's adjustable and has a red light (this is great when I'm navigating around my bedroom and don't want to wake my wife with a bright light). The touch screen is great, but it's struggled a little when I'm using gloves. Press and hold the top left button to activate the voice command or "Listening" feature and be specific with what you're trying to access. If you've seen how it's worded on the watch and you want to short-cut getting there, then use the word or title when using the voice command or "listening". I use this wat h everyday and it gives me good feedback on how I'm sleeping and the quality of sleep; and it gives suggestions on my "body battery," which I've felt is pretty accurate. When I don't feel rested my watch also agrees and shows me a graph or some numbers on where I'm at physically and if I should workout/ train or recover for the day. one issue I've had are my headphone don't like to connect to my watch. My headphone connect to everything else with ease, but not this watch. My guess is this is the Bluetooth feature not working very well. Overall, I'm super happy with Garmin and my new watch.

Great upgrade

I upgraded from my Fenix 6 pro solar, and love some of the new features and the AMOLED screen is great. I haven't had any issues yet, but it's a noticeable change in battery life, which I was aware of going on, but underestimated how much I would think about it. It's a great watch but I might recommend the solar/mips option over AMOLED if you are debating between them like I was,

The perfect watch for everything you could possibly imagine. It never leaves my watch. Battery life is exceptional, with extremely fast charging. Large, vibrant and clear screen can be seen in all light conditions. Tracks everything: sleep, workouts, runs and everyday health. I reccomend this to anyone from all spectrums of fitness levels. Can be used as a great motivator as it cues you to be more active or when you need to rest.

After spending 20 years using another brand known as the Gold Standard, I decided to take a leap and change. So far I am glad I did. The tech seems twice as advanced and the quality feels better. As a multi sport athlete, one of my sports is Swimming and tracking distance is a must to prevent over training, and this was about spot on.

Frustrating that Garmin pay only works with banks with which Garmin has a commercial agreement (poor coverage in France). Shame that ECG function is not globally available either. Please Garmin - now that the technology is complete - make it available everywhere... or else discount the price.

The watch is buggy even with the latest bugfixes. Haptic feedback doesn't work at some apps, crashed a few times already, the battery shows hours of unmeasured results, youtube music is unavailable. Will wait a week and return the watch if I won't see any progress.
