I’m 6’3 and muscular and this watch fits my personality and build perfectly. It is tough. I have accidentally hit it, scraped it, and there is still not a mark or scratch on it. The major let down is that I cannot connect this watch to Strava or text messages. It would be perfect if I could do those couple of things. BUT if you are just looking for a watch with other incredible features, this is for you.
Best Garmin I’ve ever owned.

Excellent features. Excellent Quality. I get about 27-29 days of battery ( screen off mode). It feels more premium than my Instinct 2X Tactical. The screen is excellent
Incredibly functional.

This watch has been a very useful and cool tool to have. I've been able to track an array of activities with ease. Training at the gym, running, hiking, skiing, skydiving, hunting and shooting long range. The screen is easy to read, the buttons very positive to the touch. The are many face options to suit your taste and adapt to your usage. While there are many functions, i still found it easy to use. I am impressed by the battery life. I was already familiar with the ballistics software. I find it very convenient to have right on my wrist while hunting out west. Integrating atmospherics and current weather data while accessing it very quickly has allowed me to make the necessary corrections as efficiently and precisely as possible during high pressure hunting situations. The only criticism I have is that the sensor sometimes does not quite take a good reading of vitals and the watch has to be adjusted. But it's not a major fault.

I have owned the Tactix 7 amoled for a couple of months and I believe that this sport watch is not only great looking but it's features are incredible. It's a lot more than what I really need or use but the idea that all the sports features are available to you makes this watch incredible.

The good: the features work as advertised The display is amazingly clear to read. I have a Tactix Delta and it is 2 steps up for readability which makes using maps really possible. Battery lifetime is better than expected for an Amoled display. I get 3 weeks with always on turned off and 2 2-3 hour workouts per week that use GPS. It charges fast due to USB C. The GPS location is faster than on my Tactix Delta I like the feel and texture of the buttons and the recessed sapphire glass. the Watch face that is standard has great customization features and there is no need to buy additional ones Worth Improvement: This is all software and could be remedied if Garmin wants to! I was not yet able to use Garmin Express on my Mac to connect to the watch. I get an error: "device not supported". I am able to use Garmin connect on my iPhone so I can make changes and load maps if desired. Neither Garmin connect nor Garmin Explore phone apps allow you to display routes and follow your course process on your phone. You have to use third party apps like trail forks to accomplish that. Come on Garmin this should be a simple thing to program! It would be useful if I use my phone in connection with my watch to track a route that I am following during a bike ride. The watch is very expensive but I guess you get what you pay for. The Delta is great and durable so time will tell how the Amoled technology holds out over the years.

My first Garmin was a forerunner. Then I went to the instinct 1 solar. Just when I thought things couldn’t get any better I got the instinct tactical 2x. Wow what a watch. But then just when I thought I was at the pinnacle I ended up getting the tactix 7 and wow what a game changer. This watch has everything you could ever want or need!!! In my first full week of use with the watch, I had the always on display on, wrist gestures and phone notifications (minus phone calls off), and the stock tactix 7 watch face, I managed to get 10 days of battery with having 12 activities total!!!!!!!!!!!! Most of the activities used satellites. One of the activities was snowboard for about 4 plus hours where the watch had the activity going the entire time. My biggest concern initially was going from 40 days to basically infinite battery from the instinct 2x tactical, however, the amoled display makes this thing absolutely worth it. Between the various lighting conditions I’ve used the watch thus far (snow, rain, sun, cloudy day) the screen has always been crisp, bright, and extremely easy to read. Moreover, the maps on this watch are to die for. When you go on hikes, the fact that you can see the topography, other trails, and tons of details when you need it, this watch really shines. As a matter of fact, when my friend and I went snowboarding and I got to test this thing out, let’s just say we were having a difficult time navigating the mountain with their confusing ski map. I literally pulled up the map feature while using the snowboarding activity and no joke I was able to see the name of the ski runs, red markings indicating I already went down the run, and other features that just blew me away. Don’t get me wrong, this watch is pricy, however, if you plan to use this thing for years to come, it absolutely is worth every penny. The final thing I’ll close with is the watch bands out of the box. By default it comes with the nylon tactical band and they also include the silicone. In the last I always ended up having issues with nylon bands absorbing bacteria and other things and smelling terrible. So far this thing has been doing great. Its fitment is extremely comfortable and looks GREAT!!! I can’t say enough good things about this watch. If you are having doubts or are concerned about the price point, the first time you put it on your wrist and start using it; all of those worries will vanish.

I’m no watch expert but I might be with how research certified I am with smart watches. First off, you can’t beat Garmin in this category. Sure it isn’t a Rolex and won’t be flashy and some might think, eh a smart watch weirdo who prolly pretends to hike or do CrossFit, but it’s the Lexus of smart watches. It’s reliable like a Toyota but stylish like a Lexus. It is much better than a fruit or that Sam guy who sung terrible. I wish the AMOLED screen had the solar capability but I’ll survive with a month long battery and not have to worry about it dying halfway thru my day. Cheers Garmin. I hope you continue to improve on the greatness you have now bestowed on my wrist. Oh and to the subject question. Yes.

I really enjoy the tactix 7 and all of it's features however my only dislike is the size options (only one 51mm). I would like the option of a 47mm. I understand the tactical aspect of it however the smaller size would wear better on me. Prior to purchasing the tactix 7 I had a 47mm epix pro (gen 2) sapphire edition and really enjoyed it.

I purchased this to replace my Garmin Instinct 2. With my age getting older I needed a watch with the features that are important to me that is easier to see. Well, seems I made the correct choice, easy to see, simple to use and features that I wanted. Battery life was unexpected. I charge once a month, perhaps every 10 days if I'm hiking or hunting. If your on the fence, Garmin is the way to go..

So many obvious great features, but the battery life is the best I have ever had. I love the customization and the ruggedness gives me the confidence to use it as intended. It's tactical but sleek enough to look sharp for any occasion. It's not the cheapest, but I believe you get what you pay for and I'm happy with my investment.

I have owned the Tactix Charlie and Delta. The addition of music was a big factor for that upgrade. I was hesitant to pull the trigger on the 7 - Amoled, mainly because of the price. At this point, I don't regret it at all. The AMOLED screen is beautiful. I use this thing a lot working downrange, especially at night. I love the addition of the flashlight. I find myself using it all the time. The apps and widgets have all been upgraded but the basic layout is very familiar. Battery life has improved. I work out in the gym and run, using the GPS almost every day, and I only charge it once a week. The addition of a touch screen is helpful. It makes using the map functions practical. GPS seems to connect much quicker, as well. Great watch overall. Definitly recomend.

I upgraded from the Tactix 7 Pro Solar edition because I wanted the ECG App. I was a bit reluctant giving up the solar charging feature of the Solar Edition. As it turns out, on a full charge, I have ~ 27+ days of use before charging again, which I don’t let it go that far anyway - I never went that far on the Solar Edition either. This has been a good upgrade thus far. I have used the ECG app quite a bit and don’t regret the change. It also has more pixels in the display area compared to the Tactix 7 Pro Solar edition as well. Nice.
