I've had my Garmin for little over 2 years, and wa spretty happy with it. However after the 2 years and 1 month the watch is no longer working. The sensors are not working, the sensor that enables watch face is not working, however Bluetooth etc is working I've done factory reset, started over, but sensor light and measuring still not on, basically rendering the watch useless for its purpose as a sports watch. I suggest finding another watch with a longer lifetime.

Sometimes when I walk I inadvertently touch the top button and it immediately intereupts or ends my activity. You should provide a confirmation prompt to avoid that. This we must press the button twice to stop an activity.

This is my second Garmin active watch, and I'm convinced this is the go-to brand for fitness tracking. The watch itself looks GREAT and I love how it is very durable (no scratches on the screen or face despite being dropped many times.) When it comes to battery life, this baby lasts up to a week on a single charge, and that's even with logging 4+ hours of cardio events. The smart settings also allow me to be as engaged as i want to be with emails, texts, social media notifications-- personally, I only choose to allow my watch to notify for texts and calls. I've also done my fair share of swimming with it, and only good things to report! I was able to EASLY change the pool lane length before my workout, and found that it accurately measured my distances. 10/10 would buy again.
Great watch overall!

I`ve been using the Venu for years now and it`s still holding up great except for some charging issues. I mainly use it for running and it`s nice to be able to choose and track different activities of the activity list. And I like being able to create workouts and load them onto my watch, and the previewed workouts on the watch can be pretty handy too! I love having Spotify on the watch. One downside I`ve been experiencing is that it can take quite a bit of time sometimes to finally get a gps signal on this watch.
Marathon training

I bought my venu two years ago to replace my Apple Watch. Feel in love with the venu. I had Hoped the battery would last through my first marathon.at mile 24..14 it died. In addition, throughout my marathon training my watch has been continuously loosing connection to the Garmin connect app on my phone. If I plugged the watch to my computer it would recognize my activities and everything would sync up. I even called once and of course everything worked while on the phone. Nevertheless, this continued to happen that the watch and Garmin connect would loose connection. I would have to spend time trying to add the device again. I was very happy with my Garmin Venu but during my marathon training I was pretty frustrated.

Watch would be great, but the App makes it useless

Downloaded the new version of the App. Lost all previous data, the App doesn't sync and even when it does, dara doesn't get uploaded. Workouts disappear as soon as you hit "finished" and cannot upload workouts to the watch anymore. It was a good watch and served me well for two years, now it's USELESS. Garmin support couldn't solve the problem

Impossible pairing to new - 2 years ago
originally posted on Garmin
Had the phone for 4 months. I got a new phone after 4 months. Tried for three days to get paired to new phone. Not user friendly at all. Started chat with support. They really had no clue just kept taking me I. Circles that been doing for 3 days already. I findly figured it out after finding some info online. Pairing to a new phone shouldn't take more than 5 minutes let alone three days and support failing to any better than myself at figuring it out.

Over the years, I have purchased several Garmin products. I have a Garmin Venu watch and while it's not new, my Google Android phone is new so I was able to sync my Garmin watch to my phone using Garmin Connect. What I don't understand about Garmin is that anytime you wish to record information, you have to do so on a small screen using big fat clumsy fingers If you have to set up an online account through Garmin, why don't you enable your users to safe all their contact info & ride info using the Garmin online app. With one account, carrying all your contacts, locations, rides, etc, you could manage all your Garmin devices. Seems so simple to me

BEST WATCH EVER

This watch has absolutely BLOWN AWAY my expectations. I switch to my Garmin from an Apple Watch. I was skeptical when I first started using my watch, and I must say, it was the best decision I made. The battery life is unmatched, and I love all the features that this watch has. I think this watch is great for all levels of adventurer. The amenities and accuracy in GPS and vital tracking make this watch a must have for everyone. My one critique would be to have more indoor activities on the connect app to add such as volleyball or pickleball for those who enjoy a different style of activity.

Great watch for anyone that wants to track their workouts and adventure. Used mine to track workouts in the gym. Liked that I was able to track my heart rate during runs. GPS tracking could have worked a bit better. This would work great for both beginners and experts. But I would say that it would work better for experts

I am a cross country runner who also likes to track my daily activities such as steps, biking, and health stats. This watch really does it all with a lot of different tracking features. I have always used Garmin for my running tracking because their gps technology is unmatched. The venue is no different and it is a smartwatch which is what I was looking for this time around. If you are someone who does a bit do everything and wants a smartwatch this is for you!

Garmin Venu Fitness Tracker

Great watch with a mix of smart watch and fitness features. It leans more towards fitness tracking. It's great for lifting because the circle shape doesn't get locked on my wrist between movements. The band gave some chafing the first couple weeks but I found taking it off during showers and wiping it after heavy sweat kept it from happening. Also great for controlling music without having my phone on me when I run.
